Hailee Steinfeld brought the house down at the Lip Sync Battle Live: A Michael Jackson Celebration at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday evening.

The 21-year-old actress went up against Neil Patrick Harris, Laverne Cox, and Taraji P. Henson — ultimately winning the belt with her mimicked performance of Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel.”

Before winning the Lip Sync Battle showdown, Hailee stepped onto the event’s red carpet in a look that was less than ideal.

The “Pitch Perfect 3” star donned a Balmain Spring 2018 pantsuit laden heavy with huge crystal embellishments that couldn’t have made it easy for Hailee to walk.

She paired it with a black bodysuit with high-cut bottoms exposed through her ensemble’s sheer fabric.

Hailee’s curly ponytail was an obvious nod to Michael Jackson’s stringy, long hairstyle, but it ended up looking more like stiff prom hair.

As sexy as Hailee’s Christian Louboutin “So Kate” pumps are, we think this is the one time she could have worn comfortable, flat loafers like Michael Jackson’s and gotten away with it.
