How many of you think Jennifer Lawrence looked a little grannyish in her red gown at the Oscars? The dress was a little underwhelming, and even more so was her hairstyle. Do you agree?

We were actually kind of hoping to be wowed. Thankfully, she more than made up for it at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Unlike other celebrities who attended the event in long gowns, the actress opted not to slip into a floor-grazing number. Instead, she wore a short glimmering party piece that flaunted sheer panels in just the right places.

The long-sleeved frock, which had see-through sections on the sides and back, was a Tom Ford creation. It was decorated with a million mirror appliques (or glass shards?), so each time the actress moved, light was trapped and danced on her.

Jennifer Lawrence complemented the outfit with dark eye makeup for a sultry look; to pull everything together, she slipped into a pair of stunning ankle-strap sandals, also from Tom Ford.

The dress was indeed somewhat risque — and we certainly did not expect it from the ‘Catching Fire’ star. But leave it to JLaw to always surprise us, right? It was plain to see that she didn’t wear any underwear with the number. Interestingly, the way the dress shimmered and glimmered was distracting enough to make you forget that she was, in fact, naked underneath, so thankfully she didn’t look trashy or cheap.

Looks like we will be adding Jennifer to the long list of celebs who have chosen to go commando on the red carpet.

Now, let’s focus on Jen’s lovely heels. Here’s a closer look for you. Unlike your classic ankle-strap sandals, these shoes feature a slightly modified silhouette that partially covers the sides of the feet.

These sandals also feature extra slim angular metal-mirror heels. They are not available online yet, but they’re from the Spring 2014 collection, so you can expect them to hit the stores soon. Jennifer’s pair is in classic black suede, but this particular style from the designer also has other more elaborate versions:
