If it was hard to appreciate the stocking-covered shoes at Kanye West’s Adidas Originals x Kanye West Yeezy fashion show, it’s even harder to figure out what the fashion critics who attended thought of it.

For one, North West — who is probably her mom and dad’s harshest critic — didn’t seem to like it. The following snap taken by Complex Media shows the 20-month-old toddler crying and throwing a tantrum in the front row.

North not only interrupted the show but also disturbed nearby Beyonce and Anna Wintour. Check out the cold and distant body language among them:

A clip shared by Kanye West’s Creative Director, Virgil Abloh, also went viral. The video is short and only shows the bow Kanye takes at the curtain call, but the scattered, lukewarm applause the audience gave Kanye is evident.

On the other hand, Kanye’s star-studded front row gave him a standing ovation. Big names such as Rihanna, Alexander Wang, P. Diddy, and Cassie were clearly impressed.

Although not pictured, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, and Russell Simmons were also among those who stood up. Anna Wintour remained seated. Kim Kardashian, who sat next to power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce, was positively beaming.

We’ve already voiced our own opinion: the women’s shoes are forgettable, being that they’re covered in socks and stockings and all. But maybe that was intended because the real footwear focus of the show was Kanye’s new Yeezy 750 Boost sneakers.

Ye’s latest design is his first ever collaboration with Adidas, and his personal pick for the sneakers’ debut last night was this cement-gray color:

A few lucky male models got to wear this other colorway:

The sand color kind of reminds us of the Isabel Marant “Nowles” booties. It even has the same high cut, looped shoelaces, thick soles, and slouchy fit. Being that Isabel Marant is the definition of French Girl Cool, the resemblance and the comparison is not bad at all.
