Late last week, TMZ reported that Kim Kardashian is filing for divorce from Kanye West. Previously married to music producer Damon Thomas (m. 2000–2004) and Kris Humphries (m. 2011–2013), this is Kim‘s third divorce.
“Multiple sources with direct knowledge told us Kim was ready to call it quits after Kanye‘s outbursts, if not for Kanye going through a serious bipolar episode. She had felt it would be cruel to end the marriage when he wasn’t doing well,” the tabloid journalism online newspaper reported of Kanye‘s erratic behavior. He struggled with a bipolar disorder-related episode during his 2020 presidential run.

The 40-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality TV star is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children. According to the same gossip website, the 43-year-old Ye rapper is “fine” with the joint custody arrangement and committed to co-parenting together.
Talked about for months, the divorce is expected to be fairly straightforward thanks to a prenuptial agreement.
“It’s as amicable as possible, but amicable doesn’t mean joyful or ideal,” a source told People.
“It just means that they’re being adults about the whole thing… Kanye is seeing counselors and advisors to help him through this spot. It’s rough for him, and he isn’t happy, but he’s resigned to reality.” “He knew it was coming, but that doesn’t make it any easier,” the source added. “This is a somber day for him.”
