Lady Gaga Channels Freaky Pippi Longstocking in Alexander McQueen Illusion Heels

Lady Gaga shocked us once again with her bizarre sartorial choice on Wednesday as she stepped out of The Langham Hotel, where she was seen posing with a very detailed custom cake in celebration of the 150th anniversary of London’s first grand hotel.

The 29-year-old singer wore Pippi Longstocking plait pigtails and crazy makeup with glittery red eye shadow and layers of thick black eyeliner, outlining her eyes, eyebrows, and eyelids. She kept her outfit a bit toned down, choosing a black-and-white structured coat dress from Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection featuring silver trims, a high neck, shoulder pads, and extra-long sleeves with slits. Later that day, the “Applause” singer was spotted wearing a lobster-inspired hat by Philip Treacy, who was seen leaving his Belgravia shop with the controversial singer.

Gaga completed her bizarre ensemble with a pair of Alexander McQueen lace-up sandals, which are made of snakeskin leather and feature pink trims, lace-up fastenings, open toes, double platforms, and illusion heels. If there’s one person who can sport such dangerously high heels effortlessly, it’s no other than the Mother Monster herself.
