In her interviews, Laura Whitmore has opened up about her teenage years when she longed to be taller, always feeling like the smallest and weakest in her class.

She shared that her growth spurt at the age of 16 took her from a height of 5 feet 1 inch to a much more confident 5 feet 8 inches, making her taller than some of the guys around her.

“I spent all my younger teenage years wanting to be bigger. I was always the smallest in the class, the weakling. Until I was 16 I was 5ft 1in, and then I shot up to 5ft 8in and was taller than some of the guys,” she told Daily Star.

She often encountered the misconception that she was shorter than people thought, as she mentioned in her 2016 interview with The Irish Independent. “I’m taller than people think, I’m 5ft 8in. People always think I’m shorter,” Whitmore revealed.
