Molly Sims was spotted at the 2013 Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash held in New York the other day. The model-turned-actress kept her look easy and casual as she attended the event with her tiny tot. Molly wore a quarter-sleeved LBD and paired it with embellished cuff sandals from Isabel Marant’s current collection — the “Caroll Elvis.”

We honestly found the combination a little unexpected. For one, black sandals (to go with the black dress) would have been the most natural choice. For another, matching cuffed shoes with a midi dress isn’t exactly the most flattering mix to begin with because it makes you look shorter than you are.

Well, what do you think of the combination? Does the outfit deserve a two thumbs up? Did Molly score a hit?

You know, she actually didn’t look bad. Sure, mixing black with brown isn’t exactly the best mix in town, but it’s not a no-no. Surprisingly, Molly made it work. While you may not catch us in the midi-and-cuffed-sandals combination (because we can’t afford to lose a few inches), Molly got away with it simply because she could. She’s pretty tall, remember?

Now, on to those Isabel Marant ‘Elvis’ sandals. As you may have noted already, they come fully decorated with studs and stones all over. The shoes also feature thick ankle straps that fasten at the back. They’re very rustic in design and very boho. You can buy these sandals at Barneys New York and Net-A-Porter.

If you’re into achromatic dressing, the ‘Elvis’ sandals also come in classic black and white. Do note, however, that they are quite pricey. A pair will set you back a whopping $640 for the flats and a much higher $1,035 for the heels. Think they’re worth it?
