They all shared some laughs as ‘The Hitcher’ actress fastened the cuffs around the entertainment TV program host’s wrists.
Meeting on the set of Chicago P.D., Sophia Bush and co-star Jesse Lee Soffer started dating earlier the same year, not long after Sophia broke up with her longtime boyfriend Dan Fredinburg.
In April 2015, Google exec Dan Fredinburg died from a head injury in an avalanche that was triggered by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal. 22 people reportedly died in the avalanche from Pumori into Base Camp on Mount Everest.

“Today I find myself attempting to pick up the pieces of my heart that have broken into such tiny shards, I’ll likely never find them all,” Bush wrote in an Instagram post mourning the loss of Dan Fredinburg. He died of head injuries on April 25, 2015.
“Today I, and so many of my loved ones, lost an incredible friend. Dan Fredinburg was one-of-a-kind. Fearless. Funny. A dancing robot who liked to ride dinosaurs and chase the sun and envision a better future for the world. His brain knew how to build it. His heart was constantly evolving to push himself to make it so. He was one of my favorite human beings on Earth. He was one of the great loves of my life. He was one of my truest friends. He was an incredible brother, a brilliant engineer, and a damn good man. I’m devastated and simultaneously so deeply grateful to have known and loved him, and to have counted him as one of my tribe.”

The then 31-year-old actress was seen arriving on the set in Universal City with co-star Jesse Lee Soffer to do some promo work.
“Sophia met her new beau Jesse on set of Chicago P.D.,” an insider told E! News in August 2014. “They’ve been secretly dating for over three months, but only their close friends knew. Jesse is super-sweet and they are really cute together.”

Sophia Bush and her boyfriend Jesse Lee Soffer split in June 2015 after dating for about a year. They briefly rekindled their love later in the summer, but their relationship didn’t work out.
“Sophia and Jesse just didn’t work out,” a source told Just Jared. “They dated for about a year and then grew apart. They’re still friends though!”
“You realize that everyone you’ve ever met in this business has, like, dated everyone else. When you spend 100 hours a week on set and you don’t even get home for eight hours to sleep, like, yeah, I’m not surprised that every 20-year-old on a set has dated every other 20-year-old on a set,” Chad Michael Murray’s ex-wife said during an episode of Michael Rosenbaum‘s “Inside of You” podcast in August 2021.
“We act like it’s not common and it’s wildly common. Some of our favorite celebrity couples are people who married the fourth costar they dated.”

“When I look back at the way I have operated – also by the way as a serial monogamist for a long time and stuck in relationships that were not good for me – I now look back and go, ‘Oh, it’s not my fault, it’s not their fault.’ Even the guys who f–ked up so bad—and I’ve had a handful,” Bush said about her relationships on Anna Faris’ “Unqualified” podcast in December 2018.
“What I realize is that I have to own my role in it because more often than not, I have chosen to date the potential I see in someone and not who somebody is in this current moment. And that’s not to throw shade at anybody. That’s simply to say, I settled for less, and maybe that’s because I came into the world like a little Ruth Bader Ginsburg and was like an old woman from the time that I was born, and the guys just haven’t caught up? I don’t know.”

“I have companionship because I have the most tremendous community. My friends are so special and amazing, they are like ride-or-die, travel the world, show up at 2 a.m., like, good humans.”
“I realized that if I wasn’t as patient with myself or as loving to myself as I’ve been with partners who just didn’t, at the end of the day, deserve it. Again, that’s not a hateful thing, it’s just to say like, ‘You don’t deserve this piece of me.’ That’s OK, I f–ked up giving it to you when you didn’t deserve it and I gotta own that I don’t deserve to treat myself that way either. Now for the last couple of years, I’ve gone on some dates. There have been two or three lovely dudes who I’ve seen for a moment and then have gone, ‘You’re great, but you’re not my guy.’”

Sophia Bush tried her best to look tough just like her role in the NBC drama series, but her black mini dress with racy lace panels and cutout details on the shoulders made her look less like a detective.
She was rather hot and sexy in her black number, which she finished with a pair of black-and-white pumps. Her curled locks and simple makeup as well as her jewelry added more elegance to her overall look.
