Taylor Swift seemed to ignore the Kim Kardashian-Kanye West and Hiddleswift drama as she started the weekend with a Friday morning workout. Taylor even said hi to a fan nearby before disappearing into her car.
The pop star, who was noticeably absent at the recent 2016 MTV Video Music Awards following her phone call controversy with Kanye, seemed in good spirits as she left a gym in New York.
The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) reignited the longstanding controversy between Kanye West and Taylor Swift. The backdrop of their feud dates to the 2009 VMAs when Kanye infamously interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech.

Although the two seemed to reconcile in subsequent years, tensions flared again in 2016. Kanye’s song “Famous” included lyrics about Swift that many found derogatory, leading to public debates about consent, authenticity, and the portrayal of women in media.
Kanye claimed he had sought and received Swift’s approval for the lyrics, while Swift’s camp denied such a conversation took place.
At the 2016 VMAs, Kanye West was given four minutes to do as he pleased on stage. During his time, he touched on the controversy, further fueling media discussions about their tumultuous relationship.
