A new, hot trend for fall 2011 is emerging and that is almost heel-less, extremely inward-curved wedge heels.

You might remember these scene-stealing Giuseppe Zanotti heel-less platforms Lucy Hale wore to the 2011 Teen Choice Awards last month.

But even before Lucy Hale came out in these, Kim Kardashian already made us squirm with the balance-challenging Giuseppe Zanotti zigzag silver cap toe wedges we spotted on her in June. The angle on those over 6″-high wedges is so extreme, they might as well be heel-less. But as you can see, they are nothing compared to the actually heel-less platform shoes Giuseppe Zanotti made for his Fall 2011 collection.

Then just a little while later, Alexander McQueen introduced their own heel-less shoes. But instead of having the wearer balance all of her weight on the balls of her feet, they gave their version a bit more of a heel to literally fall back on.

Now Alexander McQueen has come out with more Fall 2011 shoe styles sporting the curved wedge heel, including a jewel-studded style, a beribboned bootie style and a zip-up boot style:

Alexander McQueen Strass Embellished Curved Wedges, $1,645.00

Alexander McQueen Ribboned Peep Toe Curved Wedges, $1,050.00Alexander McQueen Curved Wedge Booties, $1,185.00

Other shoe labels such as Charles Jourdan, Alice + Olivia, L.A.M.B. and even Nine West have jumped in on the inward-curved wedge heel trend, albeit with versions that are a bit less curvy and less extremely inward:

Charles Jourdan ‘Eddie’ Curved Wedges in Black Suede and Nude Patent, $255.00

Alice + Olivia ‘Java’ Suede Wedge Booties, $395.00

L.A.M.B. ‘Nate II’ Leopard Haircalf Wedges, $375.00

Nine West ‘Beeout’ Wedge Pumps, $89.00

This is a trend that’s clearly not for everybody but at least it shows that “heel-less” shoes don’t always have to be outrageous, bizarre or shocking such as this … :

Sole Boutique ‘Cora Night Walker’ Heel-Less Platform Booties, $130.00

…. or this:

Sole Boutique ‘Cora Mather Night Walker’ Heel-Less Platform Booties, $130.00

Do you think you’ll be rockin’ this almost heel-less, extremely inward-curved wedge heel trend for fall 2011?
