Perhaps inspired by a sudden surge of originality, Miley Cyrus decided to swap her cropped white top and tanga bottom for a red sequined version, put on studded snow white boots, and twerked Santa Claus at Z100’s Jingle Ball 2013.

It’s really big news that despite the 21-year-old twerking on jolly Saint Nick and a giant dancing Christmas tree, the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s performance was considered “tame” as opposed to her 2013 VMAs performance with Robin Thicke. We’re not really sure what everyone else was expecting, but we thought Miley’s Christmas-themed performance was still as raunchy as they come.

What we didn’t expect was Miley arriving at the event looking very classy. She wore a white semi-sheer top and black pants by MMG Maison Martin Margiela and black Celine sandals.

As far as her style spectrum goes, it is obviously wide, but we’re glad that it now includes a semblance of chicness. The classiness quickly ended, however, when Miley tweeted the following photo:
