Sofia Vergara joined co-star Reese Witherspoon at the premiere of their new movie, Hot Pursuit, held at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday evening. She was accompanied by her fiancé, Joe Manganiello, who could not keep his hands off the 42-year-old actress.

The couple looked totally engrossed in each other while posing on the red carpet. True Blood’s Alcide Herveaux was dapper in a gray suit, while Modern Family’s Gloria Delgado-Pritchett oozed sex appeal in a golden dress.

Sofia Vergara is currently in a legal battle with her former fiancé, Nick Loeb, who said in the New York Times op-ed that he sued the Colombian bombshell to protect the two frozen embryos (both female) that they created through in vitro fertilization (IVF). He mentioned he was willing to take on full parenting responsibilities if the actress didn’t want to share custody, but he said she refused.

The two had signed a form stating that any embryos they created could only be brought to term with both parties’ consent. Nick also said that the form didn’t state what would happen to the embryos if they separated. According to him, the actress’ lawyer told reporters that she wanted to keep the embryos frozen indefinitely. “In my view, keeping them frozen forever is tantamount to killing them,” he added.

Shrugging off the lawsuit against her, Sofia was all smiles as she brought heat to the red carpet premiere of her new action-comedy movie. She put her curves on display in a gold brocade sheath dress from Georges Chakra’s Fall 2013 collection, which features sheer lace with a nude underlay, intricate embroideries, gold-tone studs and sequins, and cap sleeves.

Her long ombre hair was worn down in soft curls, and her makeup was beautiful with a glittery eye effect and a light plum lip shade. She kept her accessories minimal, opting for a pair of Neil Lane earrings and two rings, which included her huge engagement ring.
