1990s shoe styles are experiencing a renaissance. Lifestyle retailer Urban Outfitters and Steve Madden are embracing the nostalgia trend by bringing back ’90s-era platforms.
“Since the very beginning, it’s been all about platforms for us,” Steve Madden said in a press release. “We figured now was the best time to reinvent these styles.”
Originally released in 1994, the “Scrunchy” slide (previously known as Slinky) and “Contempo” thong flip-flop both feature a chunky 3-inch foam and lightweight rubber sole for added height.
Available in a range of vibrant to neutral colors, these nostalgia-inducing platforms will bring back happy summer memories!
