Newly Auburn Meghan Trainor Picks Up Grammy in Michael Costello Gown and Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Lavinia’ Sandals

Meghan Trainor rose to prominence with the release of her studio album, “Title,” which debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200. The album, which was inspired by the ‘50s and ‘60s eras in music, produced four top 20 singles, including “All About That Bass,” “Lips Are Movin,” “Dear Future Husband,” and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.”

Megan’s work has been recognized with several awards and nominations. The latest? A prestigious Best New Artist award, which she took home at the recently-concluded 58th Grammy Awards.

The 22-year-old singer/songwriter was in tears as soon as her name was called. She took to the stage to pick up her trophy and got emotional as she delivered her speech, thanking Epic Records’ L.A. Reid, her manager Troy Carter of Atom Factory, choreographer Charm La’Donna, and, of course, her parents.

Meghan looked like a real winner as she dazzled in a sparkling black gown by her go-to designer Michael Costello. The flattering ‘80s-style gown featured shoulder pads, long sleeves, a cleavage-baring v-neckline and a split that showed just enough leg to offer a sexy feminine edge.

Meghan styled the already shimmering look with minimal accessories, including a pair of earrings, a couple of Anne Sisteron rings and a pair of metallic heels.

She wore her newly-auburn locks in gorgeous waves and topped off her look with a slick of red lipstick.

Meghan slipped into a pair of d’Orsay-style Giuseppe Zanotti “Lavinia” sandals. They are crafted from mirrored metallic silver leather and feature adjustable halter ankle straps, peep toes, 1.5-inch platforms and about 5.5-inch thick heels in contrasting gold leather.
