Remember the tent-looking dress Marion Cotillard wore to the ‘Inception’ premiere in London last month? Well, I can’t forget it.

She painted quite an unusual picture that day by coming out (for the first time) in a dress that certainly hid every bit of beautiful curve on her body.

Ellen Page, at 5ft ½ in (153.7 cm), appears notably petite next to the taller figures of Marion Cotillard, who stands at 5ft 5 ½ in (166.4 cm), and Leonardo DiCaprio, at 5ft 11 ¼ in (181 cm), creating a striking contrast in stature on the red carpet.

The dress is by Thakoon. And a similar one is now available on Amazon for you to purchase. That is if you want to buy it. Because once you see the price tag, you might change your mind.

The Thakoon drop square dress with leather retails for $990. Yup, that much for a piece of clothing made using simple construction. Well, if it’s any consolation, it is made of 100% silk. And the trim is 100% leather. And it is a Thakoon print dress from the Pre-Fall 2010 collection. I guess this is a classic example of the brand dictating the price.
