Pixie Lott Stuns in Miu Miu Cat Print Shoes and Chic LBD at 2010 Duke of Essex Polo Cup

In July 2010, English singer/songwriter Pixie Lott made a grand entrance at the Duke of Essex Polo Cup by arriving in a helicopter, but her accessories stole the show. Here are pictures of Pixie Lott’s arrival and a close-up of her scene-stealing shoes:

Pixie Lott rocked satin cat print Mary Janes from the Miu Miu Spring 2010 RTW collection. Yes, they’re clunky, resemble clogs, and have the square block heel many of our readers dislike.

Yet somehow, they’re strangely appealing, and the quirky Mary Jane style speaks to my inner 7-year-old girl. It was also a good choice of footwear for the event, as stilettos would sink into the grass and get all ruined.

I have nothing but praise for the Miu Miu shoes. However, practicality aside, Pixie Lott’s outfit would probably look better with a pair of stilettos. The Miu Miu heels, though beautiful by themselves, look disproportionate to Pixie Lott’s LBD and dainty Chanel clutch and compete with her bird charm gold necklace.

Mary Jane platforms similar to Pixie Lott’s are readily available; however, the standout trend is using whole animal motifs in fashion. This trend prominently features complete animal designs on various apparel and accessories, moving beyond traditional animal prints like leopard, cheetah, or zebra.

These designs are already a staple in jewelry, as seen in Pixie Lott’s necklace, and are gradually becoming more common in a broader range of items, including jackets, dresses, skirts, and shoes.
