How tall is Salma Hayek?

Shorter than the average American woman, Salma Hayek is 5ft 1 ½ (156.2 cm) and wears a shoe size 6 (US). In interviews, she claims to be slightly taller.

“I act tall!…But look how short I am…I can’t even act to be tall,” she said about her short height in an interview.

“I’m five-two. I can’t even create the illusion that I am tall!”

“I had my struggles. I am 5ft 2in and in Mexico where I am from, it was very important to be tall,” Salma added in another interview.

“People used to say that the short thing was a deformity. I was really upset about my height.”

Best known for her work in the 2002 American biographical drama film Frida, for which she was nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award, the Mexican/American actress was one of the first Latina actresses to establish a successful film career in the United States.

Her husband is François-Henri Pinault, the chairman and CEO of the luxury group Kering (previously known as Pinault-Printemps-Redoute), which portfolio includes Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, and Brioni.
