Chrissy Teigen has recently come under fire for admitting that she and husband John Legend pre-selected their baby girl’s gender during IVF.
“I’ve made this decision,” Chrissy revealed in an interview. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.'”
Critics quickly came down on the 30-year-old swimsuit model, accusing her of playing god. Chrissy took to Twitter to lash back at them and say, “What year is this!? And for the record, I am always happy and open to speak on infertility. The more casual, the better! I don’t mind.”
Retaining her humor amidst all the hoopla, she also managed to joke that she chose the girl embryo with “a taste for bacon,” “a knack for magic,” and “size 7 feet so she can always find shoes.”

We can’t really blame Chrissy for her decision. It seems like she’s already got it all anyway — the model body, the handsome, successful musician husband, the awesome cooking skills, the budding career as a cookbook author — so why wouldn’t she choose the baby gender that she really wanted when the option was available to her. The selecting the shoe size thing was obviously a joke, but admit it, shoe lovers: if you were given that chance, you all know you’d take it as well.
Chrissy Teigen’s shoes at her book signing are the celebrity-favorite Kurt Geiger ‘Britton’ pumps in nude patent. Previously spotted in these pumps include Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Hailee Steinfeld.
