Florence Pugh has been busy on the press circuit promoting her upcoming drama series, East of Eden, which premieres on Netflix on October 1.
At recent press appearances, Pugh has embraced romantic, boho-inspired style with a hint of gothic romance, opting for soft silhouettes, delicate lace, and plenty of ruffles. The 5’3” (160 cm) actress stopped by The View in a black Chloé look, wearing a jacquard lace jacket with balloon pants and black Aquazzura pumps.
For her Good Morning America appearance, she arrived in a peachy Chloé ruffled top styled with white pants and Chloé wedges. Just a day earlier, she was spotted in another Chloé look: a ruffled mini jumpsuit with sparkling silver Aquazzura heels.

The seven-episode series is based on John Steinbeck’s classic 1952 novel of the same name. Pugh stars as Cathy Ames, the antihero whose life becomes intertwined with the Trask family. Set in California, the series follows the family as they navigate love, rivalry, and betrayal while confronting the darker side of the American dream.

Let’s take a closer look at her press outfits.
1. Gothic Black: Florence Pugh Pairs Aquazzura Studio Pumps With Chloé
Florence Pugh went for gothic romance on The View, wearing a Chloé look that mixed Victorian-inspired details with a more relaxed, modern silhouette.
Pugh wore Aquazzura’s “Studio” pumps, made in Italy from black satin and mesh, adding a sharper touch to her soft, dramatic outfit. The classic pumps featured pointed toes, low-cut vamps, and slim 4-inch stiletto heels.
What made them more interesting was the mix of textures. The outer side of each shoe was made from sheer black mesh, while the inner section was covered in black suede. The two materials met diagonally across the vamp, creating a cool contrast and adding visual interest to the simple pumps.
You can get them for $950 at Mytheresa.

Pugh paired the pumps with Chloé’s Baroque Floral-Jacquard jacket ($3,490 at Chloé) and Silk Crepe de Chine Balloon pants ($2,090 at Chloé). The fitted jacket featured a raised floral pattern, puffed shoulders, and long sleeves, while a high ruffled lace neckline added to the Victorian mood. A slight peplum flared out at the waist, finished with delicate lace trim.
I especially liked the contrast between the structured jacket and the huge balloon pants. Made from flowing silk crepe de chine, the pants had a loose, rounded shape that gathered at the ankles with ties, giving the outfit a relaxed finish.
Pugh wore her wavy blonde hair down and added dark aviator sunglasses to complete that enigmatic vibe. She carried a black satin Hunting Season “Lola” bag, while Maria Tash earrings added sparkle, including the $1,220 Diamond Marquise Butterfly earring, $3,005 Floating Marquise and Round Diamond Drape earring, $275 Invisible Set Diamond earring, and $485 Diamond Star earring.

2. ’70s Boho: Florence Pugh Steps Out in Chloé Maxime Wedges and Peach-and-White Separates
For her Good Morning America appearance, Florence Pugh channeled a retro ’70s look, mixing romantic boho details with polished modern tailoring.
For footwear, Pugh chose Chloé’s “Maxime” wedge sandals, though despite their chunky platforms, most of the shoes were still hidden beneath her wide-leg trousers. I wish we could have seen more of them, but I also liked how their barely-there appearance added to the laid-back boho vibe.
Made in Italy from semi-shiny black cowhide leather, the sandals featured wide crisscross straps covering much of the foot, along with a slingback strap secured with a gold-tone buckle embossed with the Chloé logo.
The standout detail was definitely the chunky brown wood-effect platform and matching 5-inch wedge heel, decorated with graffiti-style patterns that looked like little messages or love notes carved into wood. The distinctive design has also appeared on Kiernan Shipka, Sienna Miller, Kathryn Newton, and Georgia May Jagger, each of whom styled Chloé’s Maxime wedges differently.
The Chloé Maxime wedges are currently marked down from $1,250 to $1,000 at Mytheresa, while Chloé offers the statement wedge in additional variations.

Pugh paired them with a peachy semi-sheer blouse from Chloé’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection. Ruffles covered practically every part of the top, from the collar and center front to the long bishop sleeves and frilled cuffs. The curved hem ended in another layer of ruffles, giving the blouse movement and texture.
Florence balanced the detailed top with simple white high-waisted wide-leg pants that skimmed the floor, creating a long, elongated silhouette.
For accessories, Pugh carried a $7,150 Bulgari Serpenti Forever bag in natural woven wicker, finished with a Perla white calfskin flap, a snake-shaped chain, leather strap, and snakehead press-button closure. She also added retro oval sunglasses, a few rings, Bulgari Serpenti Viper earrings, and her Maria Tash Threaded Stud earrings.
Her loose beachy waves were styled with a relaxed side part, while peachy makeup completed her soft, ’70s-inspired look.

3. Silver & Lace: Florence Pugh Styles Aquazzura Tell Me Sandals With a Chloé Playsuit
During another press round for East of Eden on Monday, Florence Pugh chose another romantic boho look from Chloé, this time pairing it with sparkling silver heels.
She wore Aquazzura’s “Tell Me” sandals in metallic silver leather with a snakeskin-embossed finish, and I loved how the shiny texture added a little glamour to her relaxed outfit. Pugh has reached for similar silver Aquazzura footwear before, including the brand’s Trouble Maker sandals with a pink Rodarte dress at the 2022 British Independent Film Awards.
The sandals featured multiple crisscrossing straps across the front, a slim ankle strap, and fluted stiletto heels that gave the simple design a more elegant finish. Like other metallic shoes, the reflective silver finish can act almost like a neutral while still adding light and texture to an outfit.

Pugh paired the heels with a Chloé washed silk satin and lace playsuit for a soft, feminine look. It had an off-the-shoulder Bardot neckline that was covered in delicate white lace, with ruffled edges adding even more texture.
The top then opened into loose cream silk satin shorts with a drawstring waist and asymmetrical lace-trimmed hem. The relaxed, lingerie-inspired shape made the playsuit look comfy and effortless, while the intricate lace kept it pretty and polished.
The runway version originally came with an oversized bow belt, but I liked how Pugh skipped it and let the ruffles and loose silhouette do the talking.
She then added even more sparkle with Erdem’s structured Mini Bloom bag, covered in silver sequins that tied nicely into her metallic heels. Small round sunglasses gave her outfit a vintage touch, while her soft, wavy hair added to the relaxed ’70s-inspired vibe.

4. Why Celebrities Love Aquazzura Heels and Chloé’s Bohemian Style
Florence Pugh’s East of Eden press wardrobe highlights why Aquazzura and Chloé have become such reliable celebrity choices. Founded by Edgardo Osorio in Florence in 2011, with its first collection debuting in 2012, Aquazzura combines glamorous Italian-made silhouettes with a focus on balance, fit, cushioning, and wearability. Its pointed pumps, barely-there sandals, ankle ties, crystals, bows, and signature gold pineapple soles give the shoes recognizable details without overwhelming the rest of an outfit.
Chloé approaches statement dressing from a different direction. Its flowing fabrics, lace, ruffles, relaxed proportions, and substantial wedges draw on the house’s long association with romantic, ’70s-inflected bohemian style. Pugh’s press looks show how naturally the two aesthetics can work together: Chloé supplies the softness and movement, while Aquazzura brings a sharper, more polished finish. These celebrity shoe moments offer more examples of both labels in action.
