At the 25th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards on January 12, 2020, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Florence Pugh paired a custom silver Prada gown with white satin Jimmy Choo Talika pumps, giving the heavily embellished dress an equally polished finish.
Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Pugh attended as a Best Supporting Actress nominee for her performance as Amy March in Little Women. Her floor-length Prada gown was covered in transparent sequins, shimmering beads, and metallic paillettes, with a fitted waist and jeweled detailing framing the neckline.

Pugh accessorized with asymmetric Maria Tash diamond and pearl earrings, including a pear-shaped stud among her ear piercings, and multiple diamond rings by Messika Paris. Peter Lux styled her hair in a sculptural swept-up look, while makeup artist Naoko Scintu kept the palette soft and neutral against the highly reflective dress.

The gown kept its column silhouette relatively simple while concentrating the drama in its surface embellishment, allowing the sequins, beads, paillettes, and jeweled trim to catch the light.

Florence Pugh’s White Satin Jimmy Choo Talika Pumps
The Talika pumps feature pointed toes, slender stiletto heels, and fine ankle straps, with delicate crystal chains extending across the feet. The white satin and crystal detailing echoed the silver embellishment of Pugh’s Prada gown without competing with it.

The jeweled construction is a refined example of chain-embellished footwear, using a narrow crystal strand almost like jewelry rather than a heavy decorative element.
At around 5’3″ (160 cm), Florence Pugh has worn everything from towering heels to statement boots. Pointed pumps have been a recurring part of that footwear rotation: during the Dune: Part Two press tour, she paired a white Galvan dress with white Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps, another sharply pointed stiletto silhouette.
The Talika also appears elsewhere in Jimmy Choo’s red-carpet archive. Joey King wore white satin Jimmy Choo Helix pumps featuring pointed toes and crystal-embellished ankle straps and heels, showing how the label has repeatedly combined clean satin pumps with jewelry-like crystal detailing.
Florence Pugh Pairs JW Anderson With Pale Blue Strappy Sandals
Pugh took a much more colorful approach at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition Preview Party on June 4, 2019, at Burlington House in London, pairing a JW Anderson midi dress with pale blue strappy stiletto sandals.

The Spring/Summer 2019 JW Anderson dress combined a dark sleeveless high-neck bodice with contrasting pale blue, orange, yellow, and black panels that fell into an asymmetric handkerchief hem. A wide black belt defined the waist, while the pale blue sandals picked up one of the lightest colors in the dress.

Unlike the crystal-trimmed Jimmy Choo pumps she wore at the Critics’ Choice Awards, these sandals relied on a pared-back two-strap construction. The slim toe straps and buckled ankle straps kept the footwear visually light against the movement and contrasting colors of the JW Anderson dress.

Minimal strappy stilettos have continued to appear in Pugh’s red-carpet wardrobe. At the London premiere of Thunderbolts*, she wore René Caovilla Juniper sandals, which similarly use slender toe straps and stiletto heels but add the Italian label’s distinctive coiled ankle-wrap construction and crystal detail.
From Crystal Pumps to Minimalist Sandals: Florence Pugh’s Red-Carpet Shoe Style
These two appearances show how Pugh uses footwear differently depending on the clothes above it. Her white satin Jimmy Choo Talika pumps extended the shimmer of the embellished Prada gown with pointed toes and crystal-chain straps, while the pale blue sandals provided a cleaner, quieter finish beneath JW Anderson’s asymmetric color blocking.
That contrast has continued throughout Pugh’s red-carpet wardrobe. She moves easily between delicate stilettos, crystal-covered evening shoes, substantial platforms, and more directional boots, often using footwear either to echo an outfit’s embellishment or to provide a simpler counterpoint.
The Talika fits into Jimmy Choo’s longer history of pointed pumps, barely-there sandals, and crystal embellishment. Our guide to Jimmy Choo’s most iconic shoes explores enduring designs including the pointed Love and Romy pumps, crystal-trimmed Bing shoes, and strappy Vamp sandals.
