Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about her difficulties of maintaining a good sex life with her polygamous husband Will Smith in the latest episode of her Red Table Talk Facebook Watch series with guest Gwyneth Paltrow.

The 50-year-old actress, who has been married to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor for over 23 years, met Will on the set of the popular television series. They wed on December 31, 1997, in a private ceremony at the Cloisters Mansion near Jada’s hometown of Baltimore.

“It’s hard,” Jada said about the challenges of maintaining a good sex life. “The thing Will and I talk about a lot is the journey. We started in this at a very young age, you know, 22 years old. That’s why the accountability part really hit for me because I think you expect your partner to know [what you need], especially when it comes to sex. It’s like, ‘Well, if you love me, you should know. If you love me, you should read my mind.’ That’s a huge pitfall.”

“Isn’t it weird, though? It’s like someone doesn’t read your mind and we feel crushed,” guest Gwyneth Paltrow commented. “Crushed!” Jada concurred.

“You tell me what you need. Tell me what you want, and on top of it, I know that I have to be accountable to do the same…I really try. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s deeply healthy, and I think around sex, because it’s something that we don’t talk about and there’s so much fantasy around it,” she added.

In early 2013, Jada Pinkett Smith was on a Fashion Week roll. She was spotted at the front row of Vera Wang and at the Michael Kors Fall 2013 presentation in a pair of Brian Atwood ankle-strap pumps.

But guess what? That wasn’t the last of it. She managed to do an outfit change and catch the Marchesa Autumn/Winter 2013 show on the same day as well.

Her second outfit was more sophisticated than glam. It consisted of a simple black strapless number and a pair of hard to ignore triple-strap peep-toe Mary Jane pumps in black lacquered leather.

What do you think of Jada’s outfit? Her Gucci “Lisbeth” pump sits on a 5.25-inch heel (platform at 1 inch thick).

It’s a great alternative to the simple Mary Jane or the classic peep toe if you want something different for a change. If you fancy the Lisbeth, you can find it at Nordstrom.

On a side note, if you don’t want to spend too much money on shoes, you do have the option of grabbing these studded Betsey Johnson ‘Babbete’ pumps at Zappos instead.

They’re more trendy in look and feel, but they’ll do the trick just fine.
