Jennifer Lawrence embraced lingerie-inspired boudoir glamour in head-to-toe Dior at the Christian Dior Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week on September 29, 2026.
She kept the look soft and feminine, choosing an icy blue slip dress with delicate lace details and matching bow slingback sandals from the house.

Jennifer Lawrence Makes a Pretty Statement in Dior Bow Slingback Sandals
Lawrence wore Dior’s Bow slingback sandals in soft blue lambskin leather, and I loved how the simple design kept the focus on the dress while still adding a pretty finishing touch. The recognizable bow-front design has also appeared elsewhere in Dior’s celebrity wardrobe: Anya Taylor-Joy and Alexa Chung wore Dior Bow slingbacks in white and black, respectively, to the house’s Fall/Winter 2026–2027 show in Paris.
These Dior sandals featured a tiny bow at the front, accented with a silver Dior signature for a subtle touch of shine. A slim slingback strap secured the shoes around her heels, with an elasticated panel for easier wear.
The sandals sat on tapered heels, adding extra height to Jennifer Lawrence’s 5’7½” frame. They also featured the signature D-shaped soles, subtly referencing the house’s name. Dior Medallion signatures on the insoles and goatskin lining completed the design.
The open-backed silhouette is also familiar territory for Lawrence. She has worn slingbacks repeatedly on the red carpet, including Manolo Blahnik Carolyne slingback pumps with a custom Dior gown at the London premiere of No Hard Feelings in 2023. Jennifer Lawrence Brings ’90s Glamour to Paris in an Icy Blue Dior Slip Dress
Lawrence paired the sandals with a ’90s-inspired minimalist slip dress in icy blue silk from Dior’s Resort 2027 collection. The tonal pairing let the dress’s lingerie-inspired construction stand out without introducing another competing color.
The silk featured a subtle floral pattern that added texture to the otherwise fluid dress. Sheer white floral lace trimmed the neckline, sides, and hem, reinforcing the slip silhouette and its boudoir influence.
The relaxed bodice draped loosely over her frame before transitioning into a much more sculptural skirt. Draping and twisting around the waist created folds gathered toward one thigh, while asymmetrical ruching continued into the long skirt.
Thin spaghetti straps reinforced the ’90s slip-dress influence, while the low-cut back exposed much of her shoulders and back. The result was considerably softer than some of Lawrence’s previous Dior appearances at Paris Fashion Week, including her gray Dior tailoring and velvet stiletto pumps at the house’s Fall/Winter 2024–2025 show.

Jennifer Lawrence Adds Retro Cool With Dior Sunglasses and a Lady D-Joy Bag
Lawrence continued the pale blue palette with a small quilted Dior Small Lady D-Joy bag, creating a tonal link between her dress, handbag, and slingback sandals.
Her blonde hair fell in loose waves, with full bangs framing her face and adding to the look’s relaxed feel.
Rectangular Dior Oblique S5I black sunglasses provided the strongest contrast to the otherwise pale outfit, while her Alison Lou custom engagement ring and Yi Collection Pyramid ring added understated sparkle.

Why Dior’s Bow Slingbacks Keep Appearing on Celebrity Front Rows
Jennifer Lawrence’s powder-blue pair is part of a wider celebrity run for Dior’s Bow Heeled Slingback Sandals. The appeal lies in the contrast: a petite bow and open toe give the shoes a delicate, almost ballet-inspired femininity, while the slim slingback, tapered heel, and sculptural D-shaped sole keep the silhouette polished rather than overly sweet.
That balance also makes the design unusually adaptable. Anya Taylor-Joy has worn the Bow slingbacks in soft white with peach moiré, Alexa Chung chose black with florals, and Naomi Watts paired a black version with velvet eveningwear. Lawrence takes the same idea in another direction, matching her icy blue heels to a lace-trimmed slip dress for a softer, lingerie-inspired interpretation.
