You may know her as the Evil Queen in the fairy-tale-infused TV series ‘Once Upon a Time’, but Lana Parrilla looked anything but evil when she attended the program’s season 4 premiere held at El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles over the weekend.

For the occasion, the actress chose a long black dress detailed with a tulle overlay and a sexy cutout on the back.

She complemented the piece with scarlet red lipstick, a sleek updo, and simple but sexy ankle-strap sandals. It was an elegant ensemble with just the right hint of drama, and she looked stunning in it.

What came as a pleasant surprise, however, were the heels she used to go with the gown. As soon as we took a closer look, we realized the sandals were actually mismatched!

As it turns out, the Evil Queen has a quirky side.

Wearing mismatched earrings is now a trend, but wearing mismatched shoes is an entirely different story. The only other actress we know who has played around with her choice of footwear on the red carpet is Helena Bonham Carter, and she pulled the trick way back in 2011.

Lana’s sandals look like the “Chaos” from Manolo Blahnik. She has them in red velvet and black patent. These strappy stilettos come in various heel heights, so to wear them mismatched without sacrificing comfort, make sure that they’re of the same heel height.

The ‘Chaos’ heels can easily be purchased at Nordstrom if you want a pair. If you’re frugal by heart, you can get the same silhouette for much less at ShoeDazzle.

So, do you think you can ever wear mismatched shoes in public? If that’s a yes, how will you wear the shoes, with a long dress or with a short one? With trousers or with jeans?
