Measuring 5ft 11 (180.3 cm), she’s much taller than the average American woman. It should not come as a surprise as she was assigned male at birth and did not start her transition until her 20s. She’s also taller than the average American male.
“I’m 5’11”, I’m really tall, and people have always noticed me. That’s not always positive. I would often walk down the street, and people would call me a man. I would not feel safe,” Cox told OutSmart in an interview.

Laverne Cox also talked about her height in an interview with Us Weekly. “I’m not super tall — I’m 5’11. It’s when I’m in heels I look like an Amazon! I have a Samsung phone, which of course you can get through Verizon.”
“I like to get photos from above but from below can work, too, if you get the right lighting for you. For full body, if you have long legs a low angle will make them look great! Make sure your face is in the light, though, so you don’t get bunch of chins.”

At HFC NYC’s Hilarity for Charity event held at Highline Ballroom, was joined by Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren, who founded the charity, as well as Josh Charles, Cecily Strong, Leslie Jones, Michael Che, and Sarah Rafferty.

The then-32-year-old American actress, reality television star, television producer, and LGBT advocate flaunted her toned stomach in an asymmetric Opening Ceremony paneled tank styled with white Ramy Brook “Lincoln” side-button pants.
Laverne accessorized with jewelry by Bliss Lau, Vanessa Gade, and Chelsea De Luca. She completed the stylish ensemble with a pair of black pointed-toe pumps covered in studs.
