Lemlem began in 2007 with Ethiopian-born supermodel, actress, and activist Liya Kebede. Meaning “bloom” in Amharic, Kebede founded Lemlem to preserve the art of traditional weaving in Ethiopia as well as offer work opportunities to local artisans. Now the airy pieces of the brand are sold in numerous boutique shops, including Shopbop and Mytheresa.

Check out how one of their finely woven pieces, the ‘Bara’ smocked top, are styled to become part of your summer wardrobe. Make sure to complete the outfit with a hot pair of summer shoes!
