Out for their first public appearance as a couple since officially announcing their engagement in June, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were at the Australians in Film Awards & Benefit Dinner at Century City, CA this Wednesday.

Miley Cyrus thoughtfully chose to wear a sexy LBD from Australian clothing brand Zimmermann to the Australian event.

She paired her dress with Christian Louboutin ‘Exvota’ sandals and accessorized with stacked gold bracelets, a Jacquie Aiche gold body chain and of course, her 3.5-carat diamond engagement ring:

Miley Cyrus also wore these Christian Louboutin ‘Exvota’ sandals to the LA premiere of “The Hunger Games”. In an interview at that premiere, Miley called these shoes her “Liam shoes” because they make her look tall enough when standing next to Liam in pictures.

These shoes are approximately 5.5″ high and they do lift Miley up to at least nose level on Liam Hemsworth!

At first glance, these shoes look too way too clunky with that slinky dress but up close, they are really cute:

They’re embellished with hand-placed metal charms with ancient Aztec culture motifs. The Christian Louboutin website describes them as “reminiscent of beautiful symbols of ancient cultures” and “evoke the feeling of the Aztec culture”:

These sandals are no doubt amazing but what do you think of the way Miley Cyrus styled them with a Zimmermann LBD — clunky or cute?
