Three and a half years after winning the Miss Universe pageant held on December 19, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Olivia Culpo brought her fashion A-game to the Swatch Pop It Up event in New York City.

The then 23-year-old beauty queen arrived to celebrate the Swiss watchmaker’s Times Square flagship store opening and help launch the new Pop Collection. She turned 24 on May 8, 2016.

Olivia Culpo: From Miss Rhode Island to Miss Universe

Born on May 8, 1992, in Cranston, Rhode Island, Olivia turned 20 years old on May 8, 2012. Winning the Miss Rhode Island pageant at age 19, she was 20 when crowned Miss USA 2012 on June 3, 2012.

Later the same year, the Rhode Island native became the 8th American to win the Miss Universe Pageant. The cello-playing 20-year-old was also the first Rhode Islander to win the title.

A Fashion Icon at the Swatch POP Collection Launch

Attending the Swatch POP Collection launch party at the grand opening of the Times Square flagship store in New York City, the former Miss Universe opted to cover up her curves in a long, flowy shirtdress by L’Agence, keeping things simple but sexy.

Accessorizing the Look: From Red Lips to Gladiator Sandals

She showed only her flawless legs in the silky black number, which had double thigh-high splits, button-front closures, breast flap pockets, and a belted waist.

Olivia accessorized the look with rings, a black clutch, and a watch from the new Swatch collection. She drew further attention to her stems with knee-high cage sandals.

Her red lipstick added a pop of color to the look, while her brunette tresses were worn down with a center parting, framing her face.
