There’s no denying that Pedro Pascal is hot right now.

Sure, the 47-year-old actor has always been attractive, but with the popularity of HBO’s The Last of Us going through the roof, Pedro Pascal has become the focus of many a TikTok fan edit.

It’s not hard to pinpoint the things that make Pascal attractive – the rugged good looks, suave accent, goofy personality, and outspoken activism – so his burgeoning flock of fans comes as no surprise.

Pedro Pascal’s road to the red carpet was a strange one. Born in Chile, Pascal and his family were forced to flee the country due to his mother’s familial ties and support of socialist Chilean President Salvador Allende.

His family bounced between Venezuelan embassies in Chile and Denmark before finally settling in the United States. It was there that Pedro Pascal found a love of acting, ultimately graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Since then, Pedro Pascal has graced both the silver and small screens, much to the delight of his fans. If you can’t get enough of the Chilean-born actor, you’re in luck, as he has a huge IMDb credit list for you to delve into.

If you want a list of what to watch right now, these are Pedro Pascal’s best movies and TV shows according to ratings on Rotten Tomatoes:

1. Amend: The Fight for America – Tomatometer Score: 100%

Check out Amend: The Fight for America if you want to see Pedro Pascal being himself.

This 2021 docuseries from Netflix discusses the 14th Amendment and delves into the history of discrimination (and the fight against it) towards multiple groups in the United States.

Amend: The Fight for America currently only has six episodes, which discuss topics such as American race relations, the civil rights movement, feminism and women’s liberation, LGBT+ rights, xenophobia, and immigration.

In addition to Pedro Pascal, Amend also features the talents of Will Smith, Laverne Cox, Samira Wiley, Bobby Cannavale, Samuel L. Jackson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and more.

Although Amend: The Fight for America deals with serious topics, it’s a great watch for those who would like to see Pedro Pascal when he isn’t playing a character. Better yet, the actor is discussing topics that are truly important to him.

2. If Beale Street Could Talk – Tomatometer Score: 95%

This 2018 film directed by Barry Jenkins (of Moonlight fame) received serious accolades for its heartfelt story.

If Beale Street Could Talk follows the tale of two lovers in the 1970s, finding romance and building a life together despite the rampant racism of the time.

Pedro Pascal has a minor role in If Beale Street Could Talk, playing Pietro Alvarez, a man who helps set up a meeting between the main character and her mother.

It’s a great cameo, but this film may not be the best watch for those who want Pedro Pascal to be on-screen at all times.

3. Calls – Tomatometer Score: 95%

This 2021 miniseries from Fede Alvarez is short, sweet, and a little strange. Originally airing on Apple TV+, Calls relies on sounds and voices rather than images.

A uniquely original premise, the story follows a large group of people shortly before an apocalyptic event, piecing together the tale through interconnected voice snippets of phone calls.

Pedro Pascal appears in only one of the show’s nine episodes, Pedro Across the Street. Coincidentally, his character is aptly named Pedro.

Despite the unconventional delivery, Calls received stellar reviews from both critics and general audiences. In addition to Pedro Pascal, Calls has a star-studded cast, featuring the voice talents of notable names such as:

If you’re a Pedro Pascal fan and want to watch something that will make you think outside of the box, Calls is worth a watch. That being said, you’ll hear Pedro Pascal far more than you’ll see him in this miniseries.

4. The Mandalorian – Tomatometer Score: 90%

If you haven’t heard of Disney’s hit Star Wars spinoff, The Mandalorian, you should check to make sure you aren’t living under a rock.

The series stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character, who totes Grogu (better known as Baby Yoda) across the universe. Together, the duo get into numerous hilarious and stressful situations.

Unfortunately, Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian costume means that his face isn’t in full view all of the time. In fact, the actor has multiple body doubles that are used when the Mandalorian’s helmet is on, and Pascal isn’t required to deliver any lines.

Pedro Pascal doesn’t actually appear at all during the show’s first season. Instead, his voice is simply dubbed in post-production.

Fortunately, Pascal’s lovely face appears many times during the show’s later seasons, which is certainly part of the reason behind The Mandalorian’s high critic and audience scores.

5. Prospect – Tomatometer Score: 89%

Pedro Pascal is fantastic when portraying serious, down-to-earth characters, but in Prospect (2018), he does just the opposite.

He stars as Ezra, an intergalactic prospector searching for riches on far-off planets. Similar to his role as Joel in The Last of Us, Pascal’s Ezra is a hardened man who eventually learns to love.

Pedro Pascal was initially drawn to the script as his character was extremely well-spoken. However, directors found his dialogue to be a bit too “Shakespearean” and decided to pull it back a notch.

Directed by Zeek Earl and Chris Caldwell, Prospect was well-received by critics and general viewers alike, making it a great weekend watch for fans of Pedro Pascal.

6. Narcos – Tomatometer Score: 89%

First airing in 2015, Narcos became a huge hit for Netflix and even earned its own spinoff, Narcos: Mexico.

If it weren’t for the sheer number of TikTok fan edits of Pedro Pascal’s role as the rough and rugged Javier Peña, many of the actor’s admirers would have forgotten that Pascal even appeared in Narcos.

Narcos follows the tale of notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar beginning in the late 1970s. As illicit drugs are being peddled into United States territory, the federal government is called in, with Pedro Pascal portraying the real-world DEA agent, Javier Peña.

Although Narcos proved to be one of Pedro Pascal’s best television performances of late, the actor eventually left the series due to some serious safety concerns.

In 2017, location scout Carlos Muñoz Portal was searching for spots for Narcos to shoot around the rural Mexican town of Temascalapa. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to report back to the showrunners, as Portal’s body was found, reportedly shot numerous times.

Pedro Pascal was horrified at the tragedy and told TMZ that filming should not continue unless it was 100% safe for both cast and crew. “We can’t do it if it’s not safe – we’re talking about lives. If [showrunners] want to do it, then they’ll figure out a safe way.”

Shortly after Portal was murdered, Netflix executives allegedly received threats from Escobar’s brother, Roberto de Jesus Escobar Gaviria, who later told The Hollywood Reporter:

“I don’t want Netflix or any other film production company to film any movies in Medellin or Colombia that relates to me or my brother Pablo without authorization from Escobar Inc. It is very dangerous. Especially without our blessing. This is my country.”

As a result, Pedro Pascal decided it was best to leave the cast of Narcos entirely. As much as we loved him on the show, we think he made the right call. After all, his episodes of the show are still available to watch any time on Netflix.

7. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent – Tomatometer Score: 87%

If you have scrolled through TikTok in the last few months, you’ve likely seen edits of Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal driving down a scenic coastal road to Cass Elliot’s “Make Your Own Kind of Music.”

As it turns out, this clip is taken directly from their 2022 film, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Directed by Tom Gormican, the film follows a fictionalized version of Nicolas “Nick” Cage, played by himself, who is a washed-up actor longing for his glory days. He finds an unlikely friend in Javi Gutierrez (Pedro Pascal), a billionaire and Nick Cage super fan.

Allegedly, Nicolas Cage first wanted to play the role of Javi, thinking it would be funny to play his own fan. It wasn’t until Pedro Pascal scored the role that Cage felt that it had been cast properly. Better yet, Pascal is actually a huge fan of Cage in real life, making his delivery of the role all the sweeter.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a fun and irreverent film that shows off Pedro Pascal’s goofier side, making it a must-watch for the actor’s fans.

8. Game of Thrones – Tomatometer Score: 89%

Although the HBO smash hit may have lost quite a bit of its luster due to its disappointing final season, we remember everything before season eight fondly.

One of the largest reasons behind our rose-colored glasses is none other than (you guessed it!) Pedro Pascal.

Pascal only appeared in seven episodes of Game of Thrones, but his appearance as the playboy Prince of Dorne made a lasting impression on fans. The actor didn’t seem to do much acting – he was Oberyn Martell.

[Note: Spoilers ahead. But if you haven’t already watched Game of Thrones, that’s on you!]

Charming and passionate, Prince Oberyn seemed to be a shining light in a world suppressed by the Lannister family’s dirty deeds.

He quickly makes alliances with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and pledges his support for Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), vowing to avenge his sister.

Years prior, Oberyn’s sister Elia and her children were brutally murdered by Gregor “The Mountain” (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) as a ploy for the throne. Oberyn’s need for revenge drives his every move, despite his carefree attitude.

Pedro Pascal’s acting prowess is in the spotlight when he challenges The Mountain in Tyrion’s stead – a trial by combat – in a one-on-one duel. Oberyn’s speed and sword abilities quickly bring down The Mountain, but it is the Prince’s charismatic hubris that is his downfall.

The Mountain rises, catching Oberyn off guard. He overtakes the Prince, and Oberyn’s brutal death is one of the most gruesome and entertaining in the series.

Revisiting Pedro Pascal’s role in Game of Thrones will certainly be enjoyable for the actor’s fans, as his on-screen character seems similar to his personality during press interviews.

That being said, those who don’t want to watch Pedro Pascal have his eyes gouged out and head smashed to bits should probably skip the final battle.

9. We Can Be Heroes – Tomatometer Score: 74%

If you’re a Pedro Pascal fan but don’t want to subject your children to the actor’s many kid-unfriendly projects, We Can Be Heroes is a fun watch for the whole family.

We Can Be Heroes follows the tale of Missy Moreno (YaYa Gosselin), the daughter of legendary superhero and swordsman Marcus Moreno (Pedro Pascal).

She attends a training program for children of other “Heroics” where she meets a zany cast of characters. Together, they must come to terms with their own powers to save the world and their parents.

Released in late 2020, We Can Be Heroes was a box office hit. That being said, the movie’s critic score of 74% is a far cry from its audience score of just 42%.

However, the critic’s consensus sums this up nicely: “Although it may be too zany for adults, We Can Be Heroes balances its sophisticated themes with heart and zealous originality.”

Although Pedro Pascal doesn’t reach peak sexiness in We Can Be Heroes, it’s a wonderful watch for those who are looking for family-friendly entertainment or just have a thing for dads. After all, Pedro Pascal has earned the title of “zaddy.”
