The highly anticipated fourth installment in the MCU’s Spider-Man film series, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, swings into theaters on Friday, July 31.

Ahead of its release, the cast gathered for the Los Angeles premiere at Dolby Theatre. While the red carpet featured plenty of glamorous looks, many guests embraced the film’s signature red-and-black color palette, putting their own spin on method dressing.

Leading the fashion pack was Zendaya, who has made method dressing a defining feature of the Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour.

Zendaya Wears Custom Christian Louboutin Spider Mesh Pumps With an Ashi Studio Gown

Zendaya once again proved why she’s the queen of method dressing, arriving in a dramatic all-black look that paid tribute to Marvel’s iconic web-slinger. While her avant-garde Ashi Studio gown certainly made a statement, I couldn’t take my eyes off her custom Christian Louboutin pumps, which fully embraced the Spider-Man theme.

Created especially for the premiere, the pointed-toe pumps were made of sheer black mesh decorated with an intricate spiderweb pattern. One shoe was even finished with a 3D spider crawling at the vamp.

I liked the subtle web motif, but I have to admit the oversized spider was a little over the top. But anyone familiar with Zendaya and stylist Law Roach knows they never shy away from bold fashion statements.

Zendaya paired her custom Louboutins with a sculptural black Ashi Studio gown featuring a structured bodice and a daring plunging neckline that extended to her midriff. Its long, streamlined silhouette gave the dress a subtle spider-inspired look! To add to that, the curved architectural straps floating above her shoulders added a sculptural element, making the design feel even more dramatic and fashion-forward.

Below the waist, oversized pleated ruffles fanned out from the hips, creating a striking sculptural silhouette. The skirt ended just above Zendaya’s knees, giving the look a hint of allure, before extending into a sweeping ruffled train at the back.

Zendaya’s beauty look was just as theatrical. Her hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, while sculpted, slicked tendrils curved across her forehead in a venom-inspired style. Smoky eye makeup, softly defined brows, and nude lips completed her glamorous look.

For a touch of sparkle, Zendaya wore Boucheron Lavallière Diamants pendant earrings along with Jessica McCormack Round Wire Fine Gold Band and East-West Cushion Diamond rings, adding just enough shimmer.

Norton wore the Marc Jacobs “The Kiki” boots, crafted from black buffed sheepskin leather. They featured knee-high shafts with multiple cutouts connected by slim straps, each fastened with tiny silver-tone buckles running up the center. Hidden inner-side zips made them easy to slip on, while towering 6-inch, slightly flared block heels and chunky 3-inch platforms created the collection’s unmistakable oversized silhouette.

Emma’s pair is part of Marc Jacobs’ expanding “The Kiki” footwear collection, which has grown beyond its signature platform boots to include pumps, sandals, ankle boots, ballet flats, and even rhinestone-embellished styles.

The dramatic silhouette has become one of the brand’s defining shoe franchises, worn by celebrities including FKA Twigs, Nicky Hilton, and Drew Barrymore. Alyssa Brook Lee embraced dark comic-book glamour with a look that was equal parts edgy and playful. While her dramatic dress drew the eye, her shoes were my favorite part.

Lee wore a pair of Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026 slingback pumps crafted from soft white lambskin with glossy black patent leather toe caps. Priced at $2,100, the elegant pumps featured rounded almond-shaped toes, curved vamps, and slim slingback straps that gave them a timeless silhouette.

While the sculptural apple heel was unique to this Métiers d’Art design, the pumps continued Chanel’s recent evolution of its iconic two-tone footwear. The fashion house has been reimagining the classic slingback with fresh silhouettes throughout its 2026 collections, from refined pointed-toe versions to architectural block heels, while preserving the signature black-and-white color palette that has defined Chanel shoes for decades.

Jessica Kaylee echoed one of the press tour’s most talked-about outfits. At the Paris fan event, Zendaya transformed a vintage Spider-Man T-shirt into a mini dress with white Christian Louboutin Miss Z pumps.

Jessica embraced the same high-low styling formula, swapping Zendaya’s minimalist white pumps for glossy red patent stilettos that reinforced the film’s signature color palette.

Her bright red pumps featured pointed toes, low-cut vamps, and slim stiletto heels that dressed up the relaxed outfit. I loved how the vibrant color popped against her dark tee, making the shoes the clear standout piece.

Not every guest referenced Spider-Man through prints or embroidery. Jordan Leftwich let her footwear tell the story, choosing one of the evening’s most sculptural designs.

Jordan Leftwich Wears GCDS “Morso” Jaw Heel Sandals With a KHY x Namilia Mini Dress

Jordan Leftwich easily had one of the most eye-catching pairs of shoes on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day red carpet. She wore the GCDS “Morso” sandals, featuring a minimalist two-strap design with slim straps across the toes and instep, open rounded toes, and a glossy patent leather finish.

Their vibrant red color popped against her crisp white dress, adding a fun splash of color to the clean monochromatic look.

What really made them special, though, was the sculptural “Morso” heel. Morso is the Italian word for “bite,” a fitting name considering the heel is designed to resemble a predator’s jaw. Instead of a traditional stiletto, GCDS created a surreal open wedge complete with sharp fangs. The hollow center gave the heel a floating effect, turning the sandals into a piece of wearable art.

The Morso is one of GCDS’ most recognizable footwear designs, reflecting the Italian label’s playful approach to statement shoes.

The brand has also produced standout platforms worn by Olivia Rodrigo, while its ready-to-wear collections have appeared on celebrities including Addison Rae. The strapless silhouette featured a moto jacket-inspired design with a full-length front zipper and two vertical zipped pockets at the chest, blending feminine style with edgy tailoring. The hem ended above her thighs, highlighting her toned legs.

Jordan completed her futuristic look with a chunky chain-link choker, a sculptural bracelet, oversized rings, and architectural drop earrings that perfectly matched the modern vibe of her outfit.

While several attendees favored bold reds and graphic black details, Liane V interpreted the theme through sparkle and texture, proving that Spider-Man-inspired dressing can be glamorous as well as playful.

Liane V fully embraced the Spider-Man theme in a striking red-and-silver look that brought glamour to the red carpet.

She slipped her white-pedicured feet into a pair of glittering silver mules featuring a wide crystal-covered strap across the toes and modern pointed open toes. The sparkling finish gave the shoes plenty of shine, while the open-back design kept them light and elegant.

Set on slim stiletto heels, the mules added extra height and helped create a long, graceful silhouette.

Liane V paired her mules with a vibrant red satin gown that hugged her figure beautifully. The strapless bodice featured a sweetheart neckline, while the skirt flowed into a daring thigh-high slit and a dramatic floor-sweeping train.

The standout detail was definitely the sculptural silver overlay. Made from shimmering metallic bands embellished with crystals, the 3D cage-like design wrapped her torso in an irregular pattern, reminiscent of Spider-Man’s web, giving the dress a bold architectural twist.
