Stacy Keibler was spotted during New York Fashion Week at the Marchesa Fall 2012 show in a beautiful and eye-catching red dress and Christian Louboutin pumps.
I really love Stacy in red as opposed to her typical black dress and strappy heels combo, but most of us would never have an occasion to wear such a statement-making and extravagant dress:
While I love Stacy’s ensemble, it seems a bit old and matronly for her. She has such an amazing body (especially legs) so I’d like to see her dress a bit more fun and edgy. Perhaps she could have selected a more interesting shoe to style with the statement-making red lace element of her dress.
In honor of Stacy’s dramatic and lovely look, I decided to create a similar but more affordable outfit. I mean, we can dream about Louboutins and Marchesa all day, but do we honestly want to pay that much for an outfit that we may only wear a couple of times?
I know that I don’t. So let’s take a peek at the more youthful and affordable substitutes that we came up with:
French Connection ‘Lizzie’ Dress in Strawberry, $198
What do you think of this short and sweet number? I love that it incorporates sexy red lace, but the cut adds a very girly and innocent feel.
Now, for the shoes; I really love Stacy’s classic black Louboutin pumps, but the price tag will definitely keep them out of my reach for a while. For now, let’s look at some comparable and much more affordable stand-ins:
Steve Madden ‘Playy R’ Pumps, $18.99 – $89.99 at Amazon
Report Signature Alvahs in Black, $25.99 – $169.99 at Amazon
If you want to polish the look off with a fun clutch I’d go for this one. The suede and studs would add another element of interest to the lace dress:
BCBGMAXAZRIA Studded Clutch, $108
So, what do you think of this recreated yet slightly different take on Stacy Keibler’s NYFW ensemble? Would you wear either of these lush black pumps?
As a small treat, check out the vintage Armani dress that Stacy paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals at the Toronto Film Festival last year.

How do you rate her outfit on a scale from 1-10?
