Are you ready for an intimate look into the life of the legendary actor Sylvester Stallone?

The wait is over as his highly anticipated docuseries, The Family Stallone, is set to debut on May 17 on Paramount+. This eight-part reality series will showcase Sylvester’s family life with his wife, Jennifer Flavin, and their three daughters: Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet.

During the Super Bowl, Sylvester and his daughters gave fans a sneak peek of what to expect in the show, promising that it “is going to shock people, for sure.”

In November 2022, during the Tulsa King premiere, Sylvester teased about the show, saying, “Because a lot of times people say, ‘Oh reality TV?’ and, you know, ‘Does he need a job or something?’ I’m feeling I have this resurgence go on. My time for this will show me, what it’s like, not when you’re Oprah or retired.”

The show will be an “ultimate home movie” where fans will see the actor’s family in their daily routines, and the couple’s marital issues will “of course” be addressed.

Its series premiere was celebrated by the couple and their daughters at the Torrisi restaurant in New York City on May 11.

This appearance occurred after Jennifer filed for “dissolution of marriage and other relief” from Sylvester in a Palm Beach County, Florida, court in August last year. The pair reportedly put off their divorce in September.

The Family Stallone promises to offer an inside look into the life of one of the most iconic Hollywood stars. Sylvester’s intimate family moments will reveal the man behind the legend.

As the actor himself said, “I’m not going to be around forever, so I’m embracing being cool, which means I have to take a lot of you know what. But, it’s worth it.”

Sylvester Stallone as a Family Man

Sylvester Stallone may be a Hollywood legend, but his most cherished role is that of a devoted family man. With five children from two marriages, Sylvester has always prioritized his family above his career.

The 76-year-old actor’s breakout role in Rocky in 1976 catapulted him to stardom. He has also never lost his star power with his recent appearances in the Creed, Expendables, and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises.

However, it was when Sylvester became a father that he found fulfillment. He has two sons, Sage and Seargeoh from his first marriage to actress Sasha Czack, as well as three daughters, Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet from his current marriage to former model Jennifer Flavin.

Although he married Brigitte Nielsen from 1985 to 1987, the couple had no children.

Despite his busy schedule, Sylvester always makes time for his family and takes great pride in their accomplishments. However, it was sometimes challenging for him to balance his work and family life.

When his two older sons were growing up, Sylvester was focused on his career and missed out on many important moments.

In 2007, he told Woman’s Day magazine, “I make a much better father and husband now than I could have earlier… I sometimes think all men should wait till they’re 50 to settle down. You figure out that it’s not your work and successes that count, but the kind of life you make for yourself and the people who know you.”

Sylvester claimed that family is “all that matters,” adding, “In life, I just want to set my dreams and aspirations, and now it’s their turn.”

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in November 2022, he said, “Sometimes I put the work ahead of [my family], and that is a tragic mistake which won’t happen again.”

Sylvester explained, “It’s the John Lennon thing: ‘Life is what happens when you’re making other plans.’ Hopefully you’re involved with people who understand the foibles of life and the fragility of it and how rare a real good relationship is.”

He also acknowledged “as though I wasted a lot of time” in his career, and “now I realize there are only so many bullets left in the gun.”

During an appearance in Today in May 2023, his daughters revealed what it’s like for guys to meet their famous father.

Sistine joked that Sylvester is “quite intimidating,” saying, “Most of the time, when they come over to meet the parents, they don’t necessarily return. Simply because he’s just so scary. He doesn’t say, ‘Hello.'”

Despite his tough exterior, he is a softie for his family, as evidenced by a clip in the trailer for The Family Stallone, where he’s seen grooming the family cat.

Jennifer Flavin also shared her love for her family, saying, “We’re always going to have each other’s back.”

If you’re curious to learn more about the Stallone family’s next generation, keep reading to uncover fascinating details about the famous actor’s five children and their lives in and out of the spotlight.

1. Sage Moonblood Stallone: The Actor

Sage Moonblood Stallone was the first child born to Sylvester Stallone and his 72-year-old ex-wife Sasha Czack on May 5, 1976, in Los Angeles.

Although he was born to famous parents, Sage didn’t rely solely on his father’s fame to succeed. In 1993, he graduated from the Montclair College Preparatory School in California.

Sage was passionate about filmmaking, and before working with his father in the 1996 thriller Daylight, he studied film for a year at the North Carolina School of the Arts.

He even played the role of Rocky’s son in the 1990 movie Rocky V, making it his acting debut following in his father’s footsteps. However, unlike his father, Sage was not interested in bodybuilding.

Sylvester told People in 1996, “Sage has chosen an entirely different route. He’s interested in a different type of filmmaking. And he avoids the gym like the plague.”

Sage agreed with his father, saying, “People call me a hermit. But I’m happy.”

Unfortunately, Sage’s life ended abruptly on July 13, 2012, at 36, due to a heart attack. Sylvester’s spokeswoman at the time said, “Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man; his loss will be felt forever.”

Sylvester candidly addressed his son’s death during an appearance on NBC’s Today, acknowledging that it was a heartbreaking “reality of life.” He expressed the immense difficulty of the loss, saying, “It’s tough, I mean, it’s very, very tough.”

2. Seargeoh Stallone: The Inspiration

Seargeoh Stallone, born in 1979, is the second son of Sylvester and Sasha. When Seargeoh was just three years old, he was diagnosed with autism, and ever since then, he has led a life mostly away from the public eye.

Despite this, the 44-year-old has inspired many, including his parents, who established a research fund in 1985, managed by the National Society for Children and Adults with Autism.

The fund aimed to support research efforts to understand better and treat autism, a cause close to the hearts of Sylvester and Sasha.

In a 1985 interview with People, Sylvester spoke highly of his former wife’s tireless efforts, stating, “Sasha does the hard, in-the-trenches warfare.”

The actor, for his part, leveraged his celebrity status. He said, “I use my films to have premieres that raise money for the fund.”

3. Sophia Rose Stallone: The Heart

Sophia Rose Stallone, the oldest daughter of Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin, was born in Miami on August 27, 1996.

Medical challenges marked her early life, as she underwent two heart surgeries, the first when she was just two months old and another in 2012, to treat a congenital heart valve malformation.

In a 2012 interview with Paris Match, Sophia’s mother described her as the one who most closely resembles her famous father.

The 54-year-old former model said, “They have a very special bond, they think alike and even have the same gestures. Sophia is the love of his life.”

In 2019, Sophia graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in fashion. She has gone on to co-host the Unwaxed podcast with her sister Sistine and has started a virtual book club on Instagram called the Favorite Book Club.

She shares her father’s love of literature, having “read nearly all of Shakespeare’s books,” according to her mother.

Sophia’s 26th birthday came just days after her parent’s divorce was made public. Despite this challenging time, Sylvester posted Sophia’s and two family photos on Instagram in honor of his daughter, wishing her “A VERY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO MY VERY SPECIAL DAUGHTER, SOPHIA!!!”

4. Sistine Rose Stallone: The Risk Taker

Sistine Rose Stallone, the second eldest daughter of Sylvester and Jennifer, was born on June 27, 1998, in Los Angeles. She attended the University of Southern California in 2018, pursuing a communications degree.

Like her mother, Sistine signed with IMG Models in 2016 and has since made a name for herself as a rising model, making her debut in a Chanel fashion show and gracing the covers of Elle Russia and Glamour.

She even appeared in a photo shoot for the Love magazine advent calendar, and Vogue has dubbed her a “fresh face to watch.”

However, Sistine isn’t just a budding model. She also followed in her father’s footsteps and pursued acting. In 2019, she debuted as Nicole in the survival horror movie 47 Meters Down: Uncaged.

Two years later, she starred alongside big names like Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, Emile Hirsch, and Bruce Willis in Midnight in the Switchgrass.

Despite having a father who is a Hollywood legend, Sistine’s path has been challenging. In an interview with People in August 2019, Sistine shared that her father “would help me read for all of my auditions in the beginning.” However, her management advised against it due to Sylvester’s instantly identifiable voice.

Sylvester’s love for his daughter is evident, and he often uses social media to express it. When Sistine turned 24 in June 2022, Sylvester posted photos of her and wrote a heartwarming message: “A very very happy birthday to our amazing SISTINE! Every day with you has been like Christmas. The greatest gift! @sistinestallone.”

Sistine responded by saying, “I love you dad!!!!.”

5. Scarlet Rose Stallone: The Scene Stealer

Scarlet Rose Stallone, the youngest child of Sylvester and Jennifer, was born on May 25, 2002, in Los Angeles.

From a young age, Scarlet has shown that she has inherited her father’s athleticism and love for sports. In a 2016 Instagram video, Sylvester jokingly called her “The Flash” as Scarlet won her division at a track and field tournament.

The 20-year-old has a unique sense of style, described as “tomboyish” during an interview with People, where she and her sisters served as Miss Golden Globes in 2017.

Although she comes from a family of actors and models, Scarlet didn’t pursue a career in acting or modeling. Still, she always supported them by attending their red-carpet events and premieres.

In June 2021, Scarlet graduated from high school, and Sylvester took to social media to express his pride and love for his daughter. He posted several Instagram pictures of Scarlet and her sisters, congratulating her daughter on her achievement.

He wrote, “Congratulations on graduating high school to our wonderful daughter SCARLET!”

During the family’s appearance in Today, Scarlet confirmed that she also has a boyfriend who has already met her father, saying, “Yes, and he was great meeting him. Now they’re best friends,” to which Sylvester quipped, “We have matching tattoos, it’s great.”
