Taylor Swift has always been a 50’s and 60’s girl. She loves her high-waisted shorts and her full-skirted dresses.

But at the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2013, she channeled a bit of the ’70s with her outfit.

The high black shorts and strappy sandals are quite modern but her top exudes a 70’s vibe. Perhaps that’s because of the bell-shaped sleeves. I don’t know about you ladies but I actually love this quirky top.

The shape of the Oscar de la Renta top is just enough to make this outfit more interesting. It could have been boring with a different shirt.

The details are quite lovely too! What’s not to love about the lace trimmings on the wrist and the front part? I also fancy the scalloped details at the collar. For a casual look, this top is a winner.

I’ve searched high and low for the make of this top but to no avail. Give us a head’s up if you ladies know where to snap this lovely piece.

In the meantime, you might want to copy Taylor Swift’s outfit with these long-sleeved tops from Shopbop:

Pair these up with shorts as well. You can style it up either with strappy sandals like what Taylor did or a pair of oxford shoes for that retro look.
