It looks like Kendall Jenner is using her platform to make a difference by giving a mini-history lesson of the US-suffragette movement.

The young model recently released a video in partnership with “Rock the Vote” to encourage young Americans to register to vote.

“Every day we vote,” says the reality television star in the video. “We’re able to express our opinions online with likes and hashtags. But when it comes to the right to vote, it hasn’t always been that easy—especially for women,” she reminds us.

In the video, Kendall talks briefly about suffragettes before encouraging viewers to get out and vote. The 19th amendment, which was ratified on August 18, 1920, guarantees all American women the right to vote.
