If you haven’t seen — or at least heard of — “La La Land” yet, you may really be living under a rock. The highly-acclaimed film continued to sweep awards, and even captured the hearts of its English audience.
Emma Stone won “Leading Actress” at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, which is the highest honor for an actress given by the awards body. Just like at the Golden Globes, “La La Land” won big at the BAFTAs with five trophies.

Emma went with the dress-and-pants trend in a plunging couture number from Chanel. The outfit was covered in a beautiful embroidered metallic floral pattern.
The actress complemented her look with a Chanel clutch, crystal-encrusted jewelry from Tiffany & Co. and a pair of metallic silver “So Kate” pumps from Christian Louboutin.

After her big win at the Golden Globes, Emma edged out the same big contenders Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Natalie Portman and Amy Adams for the BAFTA “Leading Actress” award. The actress went on a slightly different route with her speech, pointing out how grateful she was for unity in creativity at a time of political divisiveness.
On the red carpet, Emma humbly denied that it was her year but expressed her gratitude at being able to work on “La La Land.” The actress also gave a shoutout to her co-star Ryan Gosling, stating that he “elevates everything he touches.”
