Carly Rae Jepsen attended an event for Seventeen magazine’s annual “Pretty Amazing” contest, a nationwide search for an inspiring real-girl cover star. The “Call Me Maybe” singer posed next to her own Seventeen cover in a very pale, but summery, ensemble.

Carly wore teeny white shorts with a white tank layered beneath a pearly pink Smyth jacket. Though her auburn locks were a striking contrast against her pastel jacket, what really made her overall look stand out was her Sam Edelman sandals. Woven, beaded, and fringed, the sandals have a quirky tribal quality that instantly caught our eye. Also, thanks to the sandals’ open toes, we were able to see Carly’s multicolor striped pedi. So fun!

Carly seemed very happy to honor the “Pretty Amazing” contest finalists, as she tweeted, “So inspired by all of their incredible stories!” after the event.
