Jessica Chastain Brings Cannes to a Close in Christian Louboutin ‘Marchavekel’ Sandals

Jessica Chastain may not have had an entry in the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, but she had an even bigger contribution: her own unique voice.

The actress was part of this year’s jury alongside other celebrities such as Will Smith and Fan Binbgbing. While a film allows actors limited expression, a juror’s position basically strips down all walls.

Jessica closed off the 2017 Cannes Film Festival in a gorgeous white dress at the Palais des Festivals.

Jessica stood out in a sea of blues and blacks in a stark white gown by Zuhair Murad. The couture piece was adorned by delicate ruffles that cascaded down to an asymmetrical skirt.

The gown showed off an intricately-beaded pattern on the bodice.

Jessica finished her look with jewelry from Piaget and a pair of Christian Louboutin “Marchavekel” sandals in red suede leather.

As a jury member, Jessica openly expressed that she was “disturbed” by the way women were portrayed in the Cannes films.

The actress said she longed to see women portrayed in the way she knew them today — ones who are pro-active and don’t just react to the men around them.

Jessica said she watched 20 films in 10 days, and saw only a handful of exceptions.
