We’re so used to seeing Maria Menounos wearing stylish outfits that look very natural and flattering on her that it’s almost shocking to see her break out of the norm and go for something that’s clearly outside of her style comfort zone.
The 35-year-old Extra host attended the 2013 People StyleWatch Denim Party, which was presented by GILT, held late last week in West Hollywood and attended by some of today’s hottest young stars. Considering that it was a denim-themed party, Maria seemed to think that this event required more than what a smart casual ensemble entailed.

It probably has something to do with the combination of her crazy updo and her regal-looking Haute Hippie embellished blouse that she ended up looking out of place at this hip and youthful event. And if we’re being honest, it probably has more to do with her hair than with her top. Imagine her with her natural wavy hair down and this white top tucked loosely in her pants… so much better, right?
This Haute Hippie crystal-collared silk blouse is grandiose and elaborate enough to be the sole focus on an outfit and doesn’t need any help (in this case the help, which came in the form of her updo hair did not exactly help at all) in making the outfit look more glamorous than it already it is.
