The Fashion Group International brought together the entertainment and fashion industry’s finest last Thursday, including emerging and established designers, style icons, and actors, at Cipriani Wall Street for the 2015 Night of Stars Gala in New York City.

German actress, former fashion model, and fashion icon Diane Kruger attended the ceremony, where she presented the Fashion Star award to her date, Jason Wu.
“We first met in 2009. I was looking for a dress for Cannes, and I always watched the up-and-coming designers. I asked if I could try on a dress, and he showed up at a photoshoot I was doing to fit it himself. To be honest, I didn’t know right away that he was actually the designer, because he looked about 12 years old,” Diane Kruger told Instyle about meeting the Taiwanese-Canadian artist and fashion designer for the first time.

She wore an ensemble from Jason Wu’s Spring 2016 collection, which included a sheer lace top and a pair of black tailored shorts.

Diane, who played Helen in the epic war film Troy (2004), added a hint of edge to the dramatic yet modern outfit with a pair of bizarre earrings and black lace-up heels. She rounded out her look with side-parted, slicked-back hair and bold red lipstick.
