On November 11, 2015, Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble arrived at Los Angeles International Airport shortly after returning from New York City, where Kendall Jenner had walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

While much of the attention at the time focused on speculation about the couple’s relationship, their coordinated footwear choice offers a more interesting snapshot of sneaker culture in the mid-2010s.

Both stepped out in matching Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers in the Moonrock colorway, one of the most anticipated Yeezy releases of 2015.

At a time when Yeezy launches would routinely sell out within minutes, the understated grey sneaker helped establish the minimalist design language that would define the early years of Kanye West’s partnership with Adidas.

Rather than treating the shoes as statement pieces, Kris and Corey styled them casually for travel, demonstrating the everyday versatility that helped make the silhouette one of the decade’s most influential sneakers.

Released on November 14, 2015—just three days after Kris and Corey’s airport appearance—the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Moonrock” (Style Code: AQ2660) retailed for $200.

As the third major colorway of the original silhouette, it featured a one-piece Primeknit upper in a subtle Agate Gray, detailed with darker contrast stitching.

Balanced by a full-length, translucent rubber Boost sole, the muted, grayish-brown aesthetic stood as a direct, minimalist counter-response to the loud, logo-heavy athletic footwear dominating the mid-2010s market.

More than a decade after its original release, the Yeezy Boost 350 “Moonrock” continues to command strong prices on the resale market. The most recent recorded StockX sale, on June 1, 2026, saw a 26.5 cm pair sell for $589, while transactions throughout 2025 and 2026 frequently landed in the $500–$800 range.

Several pairs exceeded $1,000, including a size 28.5 cm pair that sold for $1,432 in March 2025. Although prices vary by size and availability, the data suggests that the Moonrock remains one of the most collectible early Yeezy Boost 350 colorways, reflecting both its limited original release and its status as a defining sneaker of the mid-2010s Yeezy era.

Why the Yeezy Boost 350 “Moonrock” Remains a Sneaker Icon

More than a celebrity airport sighting, Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble’s matching Moonrock sneakers captured a pivotal moment in the Yeezy phenomenon.

Released during the early years of Kanye West’s Adidas partnership, the Yeezy Boost 350 helped reshape sneaker culture through its minimalist design, Primeknit construction, and limited-release strategy.

More than a decade later, the Moonrock colorway continues to attract collectors, proving that some sneakers outlast trends and become part of fashion history.
