Gigi insisted that she has always been a good girlfriend as she went up the stage to receive the “Our New Girlfriend” award at the 2016 Guys Choice Awards held in Culver City.

“I called a friend and was like, ‘What do I say that’s funny?'” Hadid said on stage as she accepted her “Our New Girlfriend” award.
“And she was like, “Try and think of like, something that you did [that was] mean to a crush in middle school and try to make a joke about that.’ I was like, you know what? I have always been like, kind of like a good girlfriend! Like, even in middle school when I had crushes, like, I’ve always been like kind of nice!”
Maybe Gigi didn’t break Zayn’s heart, but we’re betting she broke some other hearts in the daring dress she picked from David Koma’s Fall 2016 collection.

Gigi said she was trying to think of something funny to say when she accepted her award, and a friend told her she should talk about something mean she did to a crush in middle school.
The model realized then that she has always been a good girlfriend — which makes her even more fitting to receive the award.
