Fashion met finesse on Tuesday at the New York City Ballet Fall Gala. The gala offered a line-up of ballet performances, each with different and unique costumes.
High-fashion designers like Jason Wu, Narciso Rodriguez, and Rosie Assoulin created and conceptualized those costumes. It was almost like a unique runway show fit for NYFW – which is what the Ballet was going for.
“In 2011, Lincoln Center was hosting Fashion Week; with so much creativity and experimentation right at our doorstep, we thought why not harness it?” explained co-chair Sarah Jessica Parker.

The New York City Ballet Fall Gala is an annual fundraising event celebrating the Company’s artistry and commitment to New York City.
While SJP was very much in ballerina mode, Diane Kruger also combined impeccable fashion with her inner dancer in a chiffon babydoll dress that reminded us of a tutu.

She showcased her legs in a dress from Giambattista Valli’s Fall 2016 Couture collection.

The National Treasure actress paired her dress with high-heeled Brian Atwood “Tamara” sandals.

She accessorized with pearl earrings and a black embellished clutch. Diane kept her makeup light, and her hair was tied in a messy updo.

The “Tamara” sandals are no longer available online, but a similar alternative from Giuseppe Zanotti is available at Net-a-Porter.
