The event honored eight of the magazine’s November cover stars for their contributions to the film industry, and Anna chose to celebrate the event in a simple but chic velvet dress.

The 31-year-old actress oozed nonchalant sophistication in a navy plush velvet slip dress from Gabriela Hearst’s Fall 2016 collection. It features a décolletage-baring v-neckline, spaghetti straps, and an ankle-length hem.
Anna Kendrick wore her hair straight and sported minimal makeup
Anna kept the look elegant with Dauphin jewelry, including a pair of earrings and a couple of rings. She teamed the form-fitting number with Giuseppe Zanotti heels, which added a couple of inches to her height.

Anna rounded out her look by showing off her feet in silver-and-black sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti. These sandals have adjustable ankle straps and 4.5-inch metal pin heels.
