Chris Hemsworth has set the internet on fire with his semi-nude scenes for the new Thor: Love and Thunder movie.
Of course, the scene was a hot topic for conversation at the movie’s red carpet premiere.
A Variety reporter asked the actor about the scene, and they had a chat about the actor’s naked derriére. Let’s find out what the actor had to say about his nude scenes.
How Does Hemsworth Feel About the Nudity Scene?
Fans are thrilled with the thirst trap, but how does Hemsworth (38) feel about the nude scene? Pretty darn proud. But not for the reason you’re thinking.

The actor obviously knows he has a conventionally attractive body, and he’s even shown off his nude butt on screen before in the 2013 film Rush.
But the real kicker that brought a smile to the actor’s face was getting a nudity scene into a Marvel movie. Disney, who owns Marvel, are very conservative when it comes to strong language and nudity in their productions.
It took a full decade of dedication to get the nude scene into the Thor movie. Hemsworth was pretty nonchalant about his butt cheeks appearing on a big screen when he spoke about his nude scene to the Variety reporter.

“Well, I had [my butt] out in Rush many years ago, but in a Marvel film, it was a very large screen; it was a very big pair of cheeks. I don’t know, I’ve seen it before. Whatever,” he told the reporter.
After talking a little about doing squats, he continued, “It was 10 years in the making, that scene—a dream of mine,” he said. “The first time I played Thor I took my shirt off, and I thought, ‘You know what’s gonna sweeten this…’ A decade from now, it’s all going to come off.”
How Did Russell Crowe Comfort Hemsworth During His Nude Scenes?
Russell Crowe also stars in the newest Thor movie as King of the Gods, Zeus. Hemsworth revealed how Crowe “comforted” him while filming his nude scenes for the movie.
“He does a great thing,” the actor revealed, “where he’s also naked from the waist down. That made me feel at ease,” Hemsworth jokingly revealed.
He and Thor director Taika Waititi appeared on The Project to chat about the new film. Waititi chimed in on the nude scenes, revealing that “on set, it’s an agreement we have. I was naked too.”

Hemsworth also revealed that he wore “just a sock” as a “modesty garment” on his ear. “He wears a sock on one ear. That’s his thing. He thinks it’s a distraction,” Waititi quipped about Hemsworth’s modesty on set while filming the nude scenes.
The director told Variety, “I feel like we had all talked about it. We had talked about, ‘Yeah, we gotta show off this body.’ My whole thing was like, Chris works so hard, you’ve gotta show it off. Don’t cover it up with all these suits and the cape and stuff, it’s not fair!”
Hemsworth’s co-star in the film, Natalie Portman, also got to show off her physical transformation. She was asked to get “as big as possible,” which was an interesting take for the star who had previously been told to be as small as possible while filming Black Swan.

On her left foot, she has a foot tattoo with writing in Latin that says “quod quid sumus id esse voluimus,” which means “that is what we have wished.”
‘I don’t regret any of them, they’re symbols and I love having them and it reminds me of those moments,’ she told Vogue Australia about her tattoos.
