When describing comedian Sarah Silverman, many words come to mind. The word elegant? Not typically the first that comes up.
We mean this in the best way, of course—Sarah is a talented comedian known for her quick wit, hilarious facial expressions, and bold humor. But when she decides to embrace elegance, she does it with style.
In January 2018, the then-47-year-old American comedian, actress, producer, and writer brought a touch of ’20s-inspired elegance to the Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

In a look that would make Coco Chanel proud, the actress busted out of a voluminous ankle-grazing dress by New York-based designer Romona Keveza.
With its billowing skirt and beautifully cut high neck, the piece put all fit-and-flare dresses to shame. A gold strip at the waist added some intricacy to the classic creation.

The actress looked a little shy as she posed for the cameras, hiding a Hearts on Fire ring and a Jimmy Choo clutch from our view. However, Sarah showed off a pair of architectural earrings by Dean Davidson.
The real architectural piece in Sarah’s look is her pair of Nicholas Kirkwood “Zaha” sandals. Named after the late architect Zaha Hadid, impressive lines at the heel and toes pay homage to the designer’s work.

Susan Kelechi Watson also wore Nicholas Kirkwood “Zaha” sandals inspired by architecture to the 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards. She paired her shoes with a strapless dress by Russian-American fashion designer Rubin Singer.

The Nicholas Kirkwood “Zaha” sandals feature mesh mixed with crossover straps at the toes, delicate ankle straps, and 105mm perspex block heels with metal details. They also come in a 65mm version. Boots and pumps were also included in the Zaha Hadid collection.
Sarah, who flew to Los Angeles for the awards, took the opportunity to do one thing most tourists would do in LA: watch the NBA. The actress got her glam on early in the morning to catch the Lakers game on the same day.
The actress returned to her hotel to touch up her look and change into her Romona Keveza dress. Sarah presented Allison Janney with the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role award.

A few days later, Sarah hit the red carpet at the 2018 Grammy Awards in a puff-sleeved LBD by Maggie Marilyn styled with a studded black clutch by Vince Camuto, Beladora jewelry, and studded ankle boots by Jimmy Choo.

The 47-year-old actress also carried a white rose in her mouth and pretended to eat the petals.
