This is designed after a dress from the 1950’s that I have worn over and over for about eleven years, and I always get compliments on it. It is timeless and always chic, which makes it a perfect wardrobe staple… I have worn this dress over the years on red carpets, to events, parties and for many a romantic rendezvous. I’m especially happy to have an improved version of the original dress in my wardrobe.
Burlesque queen Dita von Teese said this when describing the “Follow Me” dress from her eponymous collection. Aside from her popular lingerie line, Dita debuted a fashion brand earlier this year, featuring dresses and coats in her signature pin-up style. If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know that we love vintage style!
Dita’s detailed descriptions of each item in her collection, including the inspiration behind the designs and her styling tips, are incredibly helpful. It feels as though she’s sharing her tried-and-true fashion secrets with us! Just imagine wearing a dress for 11 years and it still being stylish!

Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks was spotted wearing the beautiful ‘Follow Me’ draped dress to the launch of Johnny Walker’s new drink, Platinum, in Soho, New York, on October 2.
The feminine silhouette worked well against her porcelain skin and bright red locks. Looking at the dress, we can tell that it will work well for all body types — the draping, the length, and the drama — something you’d want in your closet for the next decade!

Christina vs. Dita, who do you think wore it better?
