She almost always wears black on every red carpet she sets foot on, but Charlize Theron isn’t your average dresser. She has a unique sense of style, and what’s more impressive is that she can pull off even the most bizarre outfit.
Take for example the fishnet frock she wore to the 31st Annual Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala on Thursday.

As a longtime Dior ambassador, Charlize turned to her go-to label for her first red carpet look for this year.
Her Pre-Fall 2020 outfit looks kind of odd but interesting with raw-cut fishnet long sleeves and turtleneck layered underneath the strapless, belted peplum top. The herringbone-patterned tweed dress also features a 1940’s silhouette with a fitted pencil skirt.
Charlize managed to pull off this look effortlessly. Without the fishnet detail, the dress would look too formal and boring.

Starting the year right, Charlize had her trusted glam squad work their magic on her.
Makeup artist Kate Lee accentuated her features with darkened eyebrows, mascara, light pink eyeshadow, and pink lipstick. Hairstylist Adir Abergel swept Charlize’s platinum blonde pixie on one side with a sleek finish.
Like Jennifer Lopez, who received the Spotlight award at the event, Charlize also asked nail artist Tom Bachik to get her nails done.

Her stylist Leslie Fremar glammed up her look further with jewelry from Delfina Delettrez and Fernando Jorge.
To complete, she slipped into a pair of black satin sandals by Dior. They feature slender double ankle straps, thick straps across the toes, and about 4-inch heels.

Following her red-carpet appearance, Charlize received the International Star Award presented by her Bombshell director Jay Roach.
Charlize will also grace the 77th Golden Globe Awards red carpet on Sunday as she’s up for Best Actress in a Motion Picture.
