There’s no doubt about it. Yellow was THE color of the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in September 2012.
For big-name TV stars this year, it outshone every other color choice for dresses. And no wonder: the happy hue contrasted dramatically against the red carpet and made the celebrity wearing it stand out.
Julianne Moore looked radiant in a sunshine yellow long-sleeved Christian Dior ball gown. Leslie Mann was formal but fresh in a beaded halter gown with a fun pocketed saffron skirt. Julie Bowen was hip in her neon yellow gown from Monique Lhuillier, while Australian TV presenter Renee Bargh went for metallic accents in a similar shade.

Claire Danes glowed in her strapless Lanvin gown that gracefully draped over her baby bump. Hannah Simone looked the part of a goddess in a twisted strapped Emilio Pucci dress, and Kaley Cuoco was the golden girl in her beaded strapless gown from Angela Sanchez.
Aside from being a lovely color, yellow also can make you feel happy inside, even when you’re just looking at it. Check out pictures of these celebrities looking gorgeous in their golden gowns at the 2012 Emmy Awards!
