Vogue Nippon editor Anna Dello Russo discussed her passion for fashion with The Guardian in December 2010, calling it an addiction and an escape from real life. She also mentioned her extensive wardrobe and hinted at receiving discounts as a journalist.
Fashion, in me, is folie, is sickness! I never bored of fashion. It is my vision for life. Reality for me is too tough. Fashion is an escape. Fashion! Is my addiction! Is better than drugs, or…
The conversation briefly touched on her short-lived 1996 marriage, which ended due to her overwhelming clothing collection, leaving no space for her husband in the closet. Anna Dello Russo also confirmed she doesn’t have any children.

Her marriage lasted slightly over a month, and she wore a black Balenciaga outfit when her divorce became official. Her dog, in contrast, had no interest in clothing.
I spend all my life in fashion! I don’t have children. I actually have a dog. And I lost my husband anyway. Because he said: ‘Too much clothes, in your house!’ He said to me: ‘Where is the space for me?’ I said: ‘There is no space for you.’ He says: ‘Where is the space in the closet?’ There is no space in the closet! He says: ‘Are you crazy?’ Then he left. No space for ‘im!
My dog, she doesn’t need the space in the closet. She doesn’t like clothes. I tried to put on some clothes, she hates!
Anna Dello Russo Wears the Same Red Heart-Shaped Cape as Rihanna

Do you remember the $15,550 red heart-shaped fox fur cape from Yves Saint Laurent that Rihanna was spotted wearing in New York?

In November 2016, Anna Dello Russo decided to wear the same flirty number to attend the Emporio Armani show as part of the Paris Fashion Week.

The then-54-year-old Italian fashion journalist, best known as a creative consultant and editor-at-large for Vogue Japan, styled the luxurious cape with a pair of ‘Anna’ sandals from Burak Uyan’s S/S 2017 Collection.

As you may have guessed, they are named after Anna Dello Russo, famed for her quirky ensembles.

Crafted of luxurious red shadow fox fur, Anna’s cape is styled with exaggerated and structured shoulders, lending a heart-shaped look.
