A new must-have heel is making its debut on the red carpet, and Bella Thorne was the first to showcase it at the special screening of her thriller Find Your Friends, hitting theaters June 12.

Known for having one of the most enviable shoe collections in Hollywood, Thorne added the Christian Louboutin “Just Nothing Alta” mules to her lineup.

These mules effortlessly blend the airy ease of a classic mule with the bold drama of a platform and the modern sleekness of clear straps, creating a shoe design that’s daring and surprisingly versatile.

Bella instantly elevated her look with the Christian Louboutin “Just Nothing Alta” mules, crafted in Italy from soft TPU and metallic silver leather, giving the illusion of barely-there footwear. Two thick, clear straps across the almond-shaped open toes and the midfoot created a floating effect that was equal parts edgy and elegant!

These mules were set on 5.9-inch razor-thin stiletto heels, paired with chunky platforms for balance. At one point, Thorne briefly lost her footing on the red carpet.

Looking at the shoe’s construction, it’s not entirely surprising: the towering 150mm heel, elevated platform, and smooth transparent TPU straps create a dramatic silhouette but offer less containment than a traditional pump or ankle-strap sandal. She quickly recovered, however, and continued to make the challenging style look surprisingly wearable.

I especially loved the laminated, mirror-like silver calf leather on the platforms and heels, which added a bold, reflective element. And, of course, Louboutin’s signature red soles sealed the luxe look.

While Thorne chose the most dramatic version of the design, Christian Louboutin offers the same transparent TPU aesthetic in more approachable heel heights. The broader Just Nothing collection includes 55mm and 85mm mules and sandals, proving the barely-there concept works just as well for everyday wear as it does on the red carpet. Several of these lower-heeled styles are currently available at Mytheresa, making the trend accessible to shoppers who love the look but prefer greater stability and comfort.

Thorne’s metallic silver Just Nothing Alta mules retail for $1,195 at Neiman Marcus and are also available in Lin Leche Beige and Lin Black at Nordstrom.

Bella Thorne Styles Clear Louboutin Platform Heels With Navy Blue Co-Ords

Bella balanced the statement footwear with a navy blue co-ord set that was both casual and chic. The spaghetti-strap tank top had a low-cut scoop neckline, while the fitted pants hugged her curves and flared slightly at the hem, accentuating the mules.

I loved how the set’s deep, rich color looked fresh and modern, making it a great canvas for the metallic shoes.

Bella Thorne Finishes Her Red Carpet Look With Mixed-Metal Jewelry and Red Curls

Thorne’s choice of accessories added just the right touch of glamour. She wore mixed-metal cuffs in silver and gold, a statement necklace with a bold pendant, earrings, and a few rings.

Her red hair was styled in loose curls, softening the look, and her makeup highlighted her eyes while keeping the overall vibe effortless yet polished.

The Mule Trend Continues to Dominate Red Carpets in 2026

Bella Thorne’s appearance showed exactly why designers continue to reinvent the mule. Christian Louboutin’s “Just Nothing Alta” combined the effortless slip-on appeal of a mule with the height of a platform sandal and the barely-there look of transparent straps, creating a silhouette that felt both dramatic and modern.

While her towering silver pair made a bold statement, they are part of a much larger movement in which celebrities have embraced everything from crystal-embellished evening mules to sleek PVC styles and fashion-forward loafer mules throughout 2026.
