In September 2015, Penélope Cruz made a return to Spanish cinema. In 1989, when just 15, the Spanish actress/model made her acting debut in a music video for the Spanish pop group Mecano’s song “La Fuerza del Destino.”

Known for her highly sexualized, vampy image, she has stepped outside her comfort zone in more ways than one.
The 41-year-old plays the role of an unemployed teacher named Magda, suffering from breast cancer in the latest Julio Medem film, “Ma Ma.”
“She goes into survival mode. She doesn’t want to transmit this fear to her boy, and she keeps moving forward like nothing is happening, like nothing is changing in her world,” Cruz said about her character Magda at The Cinema Society and Chopard’s New York premiere of the film. “But everything is falling apart.”

“When I read the script I felt I needed to play this woman. The movie sometimes has moments that are hard to watch, but that’s the way it is,” the actress added. “It’s also very luminous and has a lot of life.”
The film was recently bought by United States-based distributor Oscilloscope Films, cementing its American leg even before it premiered in Spain.
Meanwhile, Penelope was making promotional rounds at red carpet premieres in Madrid.

The actress flaunted her legs and famous boobs at Capitol Cinema in Madrid, one of the Spanish capital’s flagship movie palaces, for another premiere night.
Penelope was later photographed with her husband as they left the premiere for a date night.
Penelope wore a dress from Chanel Couture and Jimmy Choo’s “Vita” heels in black suede.

The Jimmy Choo “Vita” pumps have quickly sold out online. However, you can find great alternatives from the same designer at Farfetch.

Penélope Cruz’s affinity for Jimmy Choo footwear is evident in her numerous red carpet appearances. At the Madrid premiere of “Zoolander No. 2,” she shimmered in Jimmy Choo’s ‘Claudette’ mirrored leather platform sandals, complementing her Atelier Versace gown.
Similarly, during the UK premiere of “Pain & Glory,” Cruz showcased her feet in gold Jimmy Choo Ophelia sandals paired with a Ralph & Russo tulle dress. These choices highlight Jimmy Choo’s versatility and enduring appeal among fashion-forward celebrities.
